Make sure you're using that lever on the bottom of the mount in order to loosen and tighten the clamps. My phone is large, and the phone case adds to it's dimensions. Which is why it stresses many phone mounts' limitations. But this one adjusts narrow to wide and the rollers allow you to insert and remove the phone with ease.
