I recommend cleaning off both your dashboard as well as the suction cup on the mount with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking suction. However if you have an iPhone make sure to put the magnets on the case on the phone and not directly on the phone itself. The magnets won’t stick to the phone.

Before you apply it to your dash or windshield, make sure you rinse off the dash / windshield as well as the rubber suction cup on the mount with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking suction.
