However, the device does not stay suctioned to the dash. I have tried many different locations and it still doesn't stick for long.

I would suggest cleaning off your dashboard as well as the suction cup on the mount with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking the suction. If your one of those people that Live on their phone go another direction. It charges at slow rate so taking it off and on doesn't work

Flimsy phone holder for the car

It should have lasted longer, esp after spending nearly $30 on it. The super cheap ones are $15 but I chose to spend more. Ha!

Vent mount design is nice but I don’t want a vent mount so returning to store.
