It comes with a cord that plugs into the holder However the charger aspect does not work. If you want to charge your phone while using it as a GPS, you will have to use your own charger and plug it in. Not worth to buy if its own charging capability isn’t working. As for a phone holder itself, it works great. Firm, and stays on windshield surface nicely.

I would suggest cleaning off the dashboard as well as the suction cup on the mount with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking the suction. In case your dashboard is not compatible with suction mounts, please also consider Bracketron's other mount applications, such as cup holder, CD Slot and Vent mounts which can be great replacements.
