The concept is great, until the strength of the material could not hold the bouncing movement through the road. I live in an urban area, and lately there's been a lot of construction on the surface streets. The cellphone was too heavy to take the shaking, when it was in its grip of the holder, then it broke. Weak plastic material. Don't waste your time using this holder. Go invest in a great sturdy brand, like Rokform. ROKFORM has been successful for me, and it's heavy duty material, and can take a good hit in construction. Save your time and don't bother buying this product.

I was unable to get the clips to stay attached to to the air vent. The tab that was designed to help support the weight of the phone and clamp didn't work for me in my car. I did like the phone holding brackets, bottom support and foam padding for the phone.

This item is rather bulky for the size of my Honda Civic (2016) a/c vents. It also doesn't hold the iPhone 7 we'll (at times it slips). The locking green button is also oddly angled and it can be difficult to release the phone when trying to unlock it.

It is hard to get the holder situated in a convenient spot. Also it tends to hit the down volume button when I put it in the holder. Unfortunately I usually sit the phone in a cup holder instead of using this devise.

I bought this unit to secure my iPhone for hands-free navigation in the car. The phone stays in the holder, but the unit does not attach securely to the vent and disconnects easily when adjusted. Frustrating and annoying.

The release button is in a very awkward place. It didn't mount securely in either of my 2 vehicles, a Toyota sedan nor in my Ford pickup. I wouldn't buy it again.

This product worked great for a couple months and then the top grounding clips broke. Not a good product if you are a rideshare drive and need to take your phone in and out of a holder.

Super strong magnet. So strong, even with the metal plate behind the case the vent grips pulled off instead of the phone separating from the holder. Part of the problem is that the grips did not grab that great to begin with.

It broke on a weekend trip to St. Louis just 2 weeks after I bought it. Plus the way it hooks into your vents makes it very easy for your vents to break. Mine did!

The build quality is pretty lackluster. It broke on me 2 months in. Cheap plastic. I would advise people go on Amazon to buy a car holder.

I have an iPhone X and even without the phone, the base dips and leans down. It holds the phone, but despite the fact that the base can be rotated, it doesn’t hold in place.

At first it was a good purchase but it broke on me right outside the warranty. It started not holing in the vent correctly also.

Worked great on my Lincoln that had sideways air vents. My Ford is a whole different story. Not as flexible with air vents that go up and down.

This is a great starter kit to hold your phone for a while. It does not accept the newer iPhones as they are too wide and sometimes the phone slips out

Was not grippable in all vents & hard to open when u put your phone in to grip & ungrip.Do not recommend.

If it’s the middle of winter and hot air is coming out of your vents (where the phone is attached) it overheats your device even if those vents are closed.

Easy install.. but try taking you phone out or in to holder and it take both hands while driving. That when you do take it out the holder comes loose and comes out of vent

It worked out for about 2 weeks then it wouldn't stay in the car vents so l took it back this was the second one l tryed, so l won't buy another one.

The components were not sturdy built and required a lot of attention to stay in place and not vibrate loose quickly.
