I had a phone holder similar to this but after three years of daily use it gave up on me. I search for the same thing but i guess they don't make it any longer. When i found this one I was elated. Not only does it have strong attachment too the car vent but the foot that rests on the dash affords firm support for your device. Even the most aggressive of pot holes seem to have no affect on the stability of your phone. Another big plus it's that the Jaws are big enough to grasp the largest of phones with our without a car installed. I have no doubt you could easily mount a full size dedicated GPS unit on it. The only downside I see possible is I don't think it will mount on vertical vent louvers. Love this phone mount

The device does the job. The mechanism isnt as strong as others Ive purchased but its good enough to hold the phone snuggly and not let go of your phone while your driving.

This phone bracket for the car's vent would be better if (1) the button to release the sides were brought around the right side to the front, so the driver (yes, when parked!) doesn't have to grope around for the button; and (2) the bottom brace should also attach (or be attachable) to the vent so the whole bracket doesn't wiggle so much when the user (driver, pax) is tapping the phone display, adjusting the volume, etc.

I use this in my car vent and it works great. I have a droid max.

I was not sure if this would work well to support my Note 4 while driving. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. It holds my phone securely and I can easily see and access the screen. I'm getting one for my wife's car as well.

Tried many cell phone holders & this is the BEST I’ve ever used.

The flexibility to hold phone of all sizes and in any direction (vertical or horizontal) is nice. For the most part, the phone holder clips to air vents and is sturdy but once in while the entire phone holder will fall off if you make a fast turn or hit a big pot hole. I think it depends how well mounted you have the product strapped to the vents. Try different configurations to test. For the price, it's a decent product.

Sturdy enough to hold my Pixel XL, but I can't fully seat the phone as the arms pinch the volume buttons.

Nice and very useful item, bought for my son when starting driving long ways to college and he is happy with it, does not move at all as others when passing by tough roads

This was a replacement for a previous holder that clamped on the air vents. The other one worked but was very flimsy and difficult to set up and move to a different car. This one is a much better, simpler, sturdier design.

I have this in my GMC sonoma and Chrysler 300 ... unfortunately, some cars it doesn't work quite as well (my Wife's Mustang.) However, for my cars it works perfectly and is better than any other solution to date!

It has work out great! Bought it as a gift for my wife and she loves it. It keeps the phone secure and opens wide enough to fit phone even with a case on. I am going to buy one for daughter and myself.

I use Waze for navigation, and this fits my I phone perfectly. You can have it vertical or horizontal. It is adjustable to fit any phone, and has a stand on the bottom so your phone does not fall out, your phone is well protected.

At first, I found this phone holder to be awkward, but after instillation, & a few uses, I wish I would have gotten it sooner.

Needed a quick and easy option. It worked! Recommend highly.

I bought this because my job had me running all over the place and needed Mapquest. This kept my iPhone out of my lap and in a place I needed. It is very easy to use but still comes with instructions.

Works well for me I have no complaints it is a phone holder.
