I had another phone holder that sat on top of the dashboard, but the direct sunlight on the phone made the phone too hot. Then, the holder peeled off due to the heat of the sun. End of that holder. This holder attaches firmly to the air vents, so does not get the direct sunlight. Also, it is large enough to accommodate my larger cell phone. All-in-all, I am pleased with this purchase.

I installed right away upon returning to my car in the parking lot and to my surprise...I love it! Very convenient, within arms reach, and compact. The only flaw is the blocked a/c vent but if positions just right, the air will flow through.
