The phone does stick out pretty far from the dash, but if that is not a problem for you then the phone holder works well.

Had to try it, because of thick dashboard cover. (necessary in our brutal Az. sun). Worked out better than expected- he likes the closer access to the phone than the dash mount would provide. He drives Uber, part time, and needs to view the screen frequently. Attachment cliips work well, button release does, too. I recommend this item.

Otherwise I love it, nice sleek mount and doesn’t take up windshield space.
