Even with the latest firmware, sporadically plays on my Blu-ray player. Although the price is decent, makes me regret buying it because I cannot watch it to enjoy it.

Braveheart is an effective historical fiction about Scotland's beloved William Wallace. It's historical accuracy is questionable, but the film does a good job evoking the basic struggle against English domination of the time. Unfortunately, Mel Gibson had to put himself in the leading role. He can't forge a Scottish accent, and he's just not believable as Wallace since it requires a man of great presence. Too bad Sean Connery was too old to play the part.

I've never understood all the people who consider 'Braveheart' to be their all-time favorite movie, because it's just not that outstanding in my opinion. I was shocked it won all the Oscars it did, especially for 'Best Picture,' but at the same time, it's not the worst movie I've ever seen, and fans should enjoy this special collector's edition dvd, with plenty of bonus features including commentary.

Aside from Mel Gibson being Mel Gibson - just judging the movie alone this was one of the best films ever! I gave it 3 stars because Mel Gibson accounted for the drop. But if you like a good movie about courage, leadership, and freedom with great moving scenes - buy it. If you dont like Mel Gibson - power to you.

I'll start off by saying that on my opinion the movie itself is 5 stars but I'm giving my rating based on the item itself. I've purchased steelbooks from other places numerous times and they've always included bluray,dvd as well as digital copy and ultraviolet copy well to my surprise when I received this steelbook it only contains one disc bluray and no digital copy's which is disappointing. I think that bestbuy needs more information in their movie descriptions because most movies I've purchased all you see is a picture of the cover and you are told if its dvd or bluray and thats about all
