Definitely not as loud as it was in store. Not terrible but not as loud as I was expecting.

Can't go that far from the speaker but do like the in door and out door speaker Choice on it

Purchasing a wireless speaker for me has been a PROCESS!! I purchased the beats pill xl, TDK and then finally this braven unit. Overall the unit is pretty rugged and love that it is waterproof (when the rear cap is on). Bass for the size is decent but clarity is AMAZING this little speaker can be turned up all the way and maintain crisp tones (bass included). The reason I did not give it 5 stars...I spoke to customer service at braven and was informed once the battery is dead the unit is useless! I also asked if you can run the unit with the AC cord should the battery be dead and their response was: "Depends on how dead the battery is" So...for around $200 (picked mine up for $150) its a pretty good unit as long as it lasts for 3 years (standard warranty of 1 year)

The sound cannot compare to our Bose Companion 20, but this has worked so far for outdoors and the gym. The only part we don't like is the Bluetooth range/distance the speaker can be from the device seems limited.

Loved the ease in functionality and use of this speaker and enjoyed the sound of the tunes we have been playing outside!!!

It does everything the manufacturer says it will do. It is every thing that I expected .

We use as a speaker for phone and iPad. Works great.

I wasn't sure about the product but I'm glad I invested. Very sturdy and easy to use.

I would recommend this unit for anyone looking for a Bluetooth speaker.

This is a magnificent product for listening music .

I bought this speaker and had it only a day and it stopped working. I fully charged it when I brought it home. It worked for 20 minutes...20!! And it just stopped working after that! Went back and traded it for a UE boom!

The sound for some reason sounded better in the store and I have tried both the indoor and outdoor settings and just not getting the sound I heard in the store.

Good overall but it seems like the store display was rigged/organized in a way that made the speaker sound deeper and louder at the store.

I ended up taking it back...it was ok sound not great and not completely waterproof just resistant!!

It is a nice speaker and worked fine. After half a year the battery died making the product useless.

I originally purchased one of the Sony units, and it "farted" at even low levels on a wide range of music, even after adjusting all of the audio settings on my phone and computer. So I returned it as I was unhappy with its performance. I began considering the Bose Soundlink Mini and the Braven BRV-X. After reading reviews and listening to the units in the store, I finally decided on the Braven. OH MY, WHAT A GREAT BUY IT WAS! Everywhere the Sony faltered, this unit shines! Now, you cannot seriously expect a ton of bass out of such a small speaker, I just want it to put out a little bit without struggling or getting distorted (farting.) This unit does exactly that! It has more bass than I would expect, and I can crank it up and it does not struggle one bit. Super clear mids and highs, and terrific bass. I am very happy with my choice, and will be purchasing a second one to run them together in stereo. To be fair, the Sony was $99, and this Braven was $199. For under $100, the Sony would be excellent for many people. But I am somewhat of a picky listener, so it was worth it to me to pay the extra $100 to get the Braven. If there is one drawback, its that I wish there was a way to disable the bluetooth. I have my phone paired with my bluetooth headset, so I plug a cable in to the speaker. But if I play the speaker before pairing my headset, the speaker grabs the phone first, so I have to shut everything down and reestablish all the connections in order to pair my headset. But for the sound this little guy puts out, it is a very small inconvenience. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE!

Poor sound quality...and this was also my mom's opinion who has never had a nice speaker in her life.

Seriously, buy two. I bought one for myself because of the great sound and durability. After I used it I found out that if you have two of them, they pair with each other and become a right and left stereo speaker... which is fantastic. Very serious sound for two small speakers being pushed by an iPhone. My teenaged daughter bullied me into buying a third one for her, and she now takes it everywhere for sound and for charging her phone. I even bought a few more of the smaller Bravens as Christmas presents this year. Everyone who sees and hears these speakers LOVES them. I've had a number of other speakers, probably more Bose than anything else, but never have been more impressed that I am with these. Multi-function, super durable, big sound from a small speaker. GREAT sound investment.
