I bought this because, when I was visiting a friend overnight, there wasn't a radio in my room and, since I am hard of hearing, I wasn't able to hear the radio in my phone thru the speaker. I tried a speaker from COSTCO and it wasn't loud at all. I tested this, and it got very loud so that I was able to clearly hear it easily. I also tested the hands free speakerphone and it was clear as a bell. Very satisfied.

This device is small and portable and packs a punch. You can clip it on to your book bag and listen to music on the go or you can have it at your desk and have a small radio at your leisure this speaker is amazing the sound is clear and crisp and the quality is great

It is a nice little package , very portable , good quality , I like it but , is not loud enough, it is hard to hear it in a noisy environment . That,s my experience whit my ipod using the 3.5 plug on the back , . With my cell phone no too loud ether (by bluetooth ) thats why I give it only 3 stars . With my tablet sounds great because come with a DOLBY program , that's when the Braven BRV-1 comes to life ! Other than that quality and performance is good , . it is not the easiest to operate but , no too bad ether , it connects in seconds , ones your are pair to the bluetooth the next time take just a couple seconds . bottom line good product just not enough volume .

Bought for a gift. Who can't use a portable speaker (or two)? Great unit for the price.

We love this little speaker. It has great sound especially considering the great price.

I bought this bluetooth speaker because my car did not have an aux port so i put this on the dash and played mysic through it and it sounded great. Its not the absolute loudest wen you are out and about but it definatly did the job.
