Unit was good value. Moderate clarity - good for out doors

Disappointing. This speaker worked for 2 weeks, but frequently cut out the signal from phone Bluetooth. Then I would have to reset it. This happened sometimes 12x / 45 minutes. Then it just stopped working. Waste of $50.

Need I say more? I took it back to the store for a refund

I purchased this as a gift for my son. I wanted a speaker that was a bit rugged to stand up to his use but also provided good sound and didn't need to be plugged in all of the time. This speaker delivered on all fronts. He is very happy with his gift and has mentioned to me multiple times how much he likes it and thinks it sounds great.

I ordered this item from the deal of the day. It was okay sound quality and the price was good but I returned and picked another speaker.

Purchased two thinking the Braven BRV-1 wireless speaker would be good value. Weak volume and ability to produce realistic music acoustics, they sound hollow and weak. Returned them both, for the heart pounding sound machine the Braven XXL, a room rocking sound machine.

Very clear sound and small and compact is a plus like the rugged style and that it is waterproof

I purchased this for my son for Christmas and it has easily been one of his favorite gifts! He totes it back and forth between his dads house and mine. It's sturdy and the sound on it is amazing. One downfall you can't travel too far away from it with your device because it will start cutting out but overall we are very impressed with this product!

Nothing against Bose, but this little speaker sounds JUST as great as the Bose did. I tried others and this speaker produced rich tones just as well as the Bose. A whole lot cheaper too, not to mention very rugged. You'll have to treat the Bose with kid gloves

This speaker is small enough where its truly portable yet large enough to still have good sound. Out of the other speakers I was looking at this one also has great battery life, plus it is very rugged and well built.

Used it indoors for a week and it just stopped turning on.

Bought as gift for family member who was looking for portable (and rugged) Bluetooth unit. Fits the bill and sounds good too!

Upon receiving my braven speaker I was skeptical at first that it would produce deep tones and crisp highs.. well the clarity and sound is unbelievable!! You get all in such a small box.. did I mention it's waterproof and the battery lasts for a good couple of hours!! My phone died before the speaker did.. a great product!!

First about me: Im a part time live sound engineer and DJ. I have returned this item for its poor sound quality. This item performs good mainly in the "mid" range but lacks "highs" and mainly bottom or "bass.' It offers no bass. This item IS NOT WORTH $100. I would have kept if it cost me 40 maybe $50 and that's pushing it. for $29 more you can get a nice blutooth speaker sold at BB. After returning it i purchased a different speaker for $30 which sounds just as bad but again not worth $100. PROS : I really like the construction, feel, and battery life. But that's it :(

Sound quality when placed on wooden surfaces will dramatically increase the lower bass levels! This speaker volume is loud and clear nut much distortion for a speaker so small!

I got a great deal on this Bluetooth speaker. Easy to use, good sound, goes anywhere. (I won't worry about getting sand in it on the beach, or leaving it on the deck when it begins to rain!) Plus, I got it at a great sale price by watching for special sales online.

This little speaker isn't worth the money. I used it for about 5 minutes before deciding to take it back. The sound isn't bad at low to middle volumes, but it is a bit distorted at high volume. I started with some 80's pop and other than the slight distortion at high volumes it wasn't to bad. I then switched it up to some really heavy stuff to see if the distortion became unbearable. To my surprise it did not, but like other small bluetooth speakers I've tried, it started bouncing all over the place. You can't leave it alone at high volume unless it's sitting on the floor, because that is where it will end up. I had hopped this one wouldn't do that, because it is significantly more expensive than others that I've had, and is heavier and more solidly built.

I purchased this as a replacement speaker for my wife after I misplaced her black one. She loves it. She's in the military so she says it's helpful when traveling and staying in barracks. Worked out for me.

Speaker sounded great and worked for about a week before dying after a quick drop in the pool. After talking to Braven tech support, they actually list this speaker as "Rain-proof" (able to be splashed) NOT waterproof (Able to be submerged). Best Buy site lists it as submersible, so beware when buying.
