The grinders never got used after I found out that each grinder takes 4 AA batteries. I returned this and purchased a set from BBY with a rechargeable battery. I bit more expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

I really wanted to like these grinders, but they’ve been a letdown from day one. the grinding mechanism is inconsistent—sometimes it barely grinds at all, no matter how I adjust it. The build feels cheap, and after just a couple of weeks the motor started making a strange noise. For the price, I expected something much more reliable. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend these.

I was getting tired of manual salt and pepper grinders that seem to aggravate Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's simple to use; press & hold the button on top until you have enough.
