My rating is based on the fact that an advertised feature (cold extraction) is not available on all machines. According to Breville Support the only way to find out if the machine you purchase has this feature is to unbox, set up, and check the drinks list. They recommended that I go with the Oracle Jet machine, which is double the cost of this unit on sale. I did use the unit for a week or so and I found the grinds to be inconsistent causing the drinks to vary from shot to shot. I know there is a burr break-in period, but I figured after a long weekend (Thanksgiving weekend) I would be able to expect the type of shot that would come out. On the plus side, the machine is sturdy, easy to clean, and seems well built. I would have enjoyed to have it as part of my kitchen for years to come but it didn't deliver on what it promised.

It will walk you through the process of dialing in your shot and the result is a perfect shot of coffee.

The only issue I have is that the you can’t regulate the temperature of the water. We like our coffee just a little bit hotter. But overall, a really nice machine.
