This is a replacement for my current Breville grinder. The upper and lower burrs got messed up trying to grind old very hard coffee beans. I have been roasting and grind my own coffee beans for 10 + years. I am very satisfied with the Breville grinder.

Can’t beat it for the price. Single dosing has been working fine for me. Fits a porta filter with a dosing funnel too. Going to add a single dose attachment from Amazon to really take this up a notch.

[Employee of bestbuy] Mostly accurate when setting grind time. Yeild amount varies more on the beans you’re using. About a variance of 1-2 on average. Very nice grinder overall

It does what it’s supposed to do. Oily coffee beans seemed to clog it but I am satisfied with my purchase.

I had the same experience as many of the negative reviews. My grinder only lasted 3 months until it gave out. Here are some of my experiences: -Large clumps in my espresso grind causing channeling -A nightmare to clean -A lot of coffee retention within the machine itself - It's crazy loud, so loud in fact that I would take it outside to grind so that I would not wake up my baby upstairs. - It eventually broke after 3 months of use when one day I started to hear the motor struggle and slow down then stopped completely on my espresso grind setting, now it will only grind on the percolator setting. I don't even want to bother with the warranty and threw it out in the trash. There goes $200 bucks of my hard earned money behind the garbage truck! I'm going to another brand completely. I you are using professional / prosumer brewing equipment, I seriously DO NOT recommend this as you will notice the imperfections of this machine. Spend a little more and get a higher quality machine. If you do want to take a chance and purchase this grinder only use it for brewing drip coffee, otherwise I WILL BREAK!

great ( real) expresso grinder it take time and sampling coffee beans ,I did watch some you tube videos and got a good techniques . So main thing is to buy fresh beans and fine tuning the machine for each type of coffee bean and write down in paper because NOT all coffee beans grind the same.

Awesome grinder, saves me time. Beware it is a bit messy, so I keep it in an area that is easy to clean after each use. But I have not yet been disappointed in a breville product.

After a thorough discussion with the sales person, I decided on this brand and as a result, I'm very happy with my purchase and the salesperson's help was invaluable.

consistent grinder with lot of features and looks good

So far I like is a lot. The grind settings work for me for pour overs, drip, and espresso. Haven’t tried French press. I like the easy to use display. The main reason I bought it, it’s quiet because it has a small motor. That works for me since I only grind 5 times a week.

The Breville Smart Grinder works well with my coffee grinding needs. You have different grinding function from espresso to regular brew. Very functional and automatic turn-off function if not in use. You also have a cannister to store your coffee.

We have a Breville coffee maker. I bought this grinder for my wife for Christmas, and she loves it. It has many options she did not have before. It is also a little quieter than the previous grinder we had.

Love this grinder! I feel like it grinds too much for the displayed setting though. We have a 12 cup carafe and when we grind 12 cups worth of beans, it nearly overflows out of our filter. Could just be our drip coffee maker though.

Solid grinder but there are some inconsistencies in grind size. Every dozen or so shots of coffee I feel I need to readjust the grind size. Other than that, good entry point into espresso coffee grinders.

I was skeptical about purchasing because of all the complaints relating to cleaning the machine and recommendations against grinding too oily of beans. I prefer lighter roast for my espresso shots so the oily bean issue hasn't been a problem. The machine does retain grind residue which can be removed using the brush and minute rice. So far, I am happy with the purchase.

So many options for different types of coffee/espresso. I also love the airtight seal to keep the beans in for a few days!! Love this grinder!

I was skeptical paying so much for a grinder, but it has been worth every penny. My freshly ground french roast in the mornings is absolutely amazing. I did buy the extended warranty just to be safe, but so far so good!

Nice compliment to our brevile coffee maker. Only compliment is its a little mesy when grinding.

Love this grinder. Upgraded from a cheaper burr grinder that was staticky and loud as hell. This grinder is much more efficient, consistent, and quieter. Would highly recommend.

Great grinder. Bought another grinder with my espresso machine and it just didn't do the job right. Got this one and now the grind is too small for my machine. Can't complain at all.
