Excellent Coffee Grinder!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to go with my Breville coffee maker and I could not be happier! The ability to dial in the specific number of cups helps me get the most our of my brews and delivers a consistency I could not get otherwise.

Great Features But…
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been using this grinder to accompany my Breville espresso machine for the past 2 weeks. While the grinder has some great user functionality the grind consistency has been quite inconsistent. If I was using this for drip coffee with a more course grind it probably wouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s problematic for a fine espresso grind.

Easy to use, but doesn’t make better coffee
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For some reason my coffee tastes more bitter than it did when I ground my beans with a blade grinder…? Husband is not happy I bought this, even though it’s easy to measure per cups needed. I wanted so much to love it :(

Posted .Depending on the coffee you're using, you may need to alter the grind size to create a smoother-tasting coffee. First, we always suggest using freshly roasted coffee, meaning a bag of coffee with a 'Roasted On' date, as opposed to a 'Best Used By' date. Using the freshly roasted beans within 5-20 days of that roasted on date will give you the best tasting coffee.
With the machine, itself, there are two adjustments you can make that affect the strength - the grind size and the Strength Dial. If you are using freshly roasted coffee (within 5-20 days from their roast date), you're probably going to use a 4 or 5 grind size. If you're using beans with a "Use By" date, you'll probably want to use a 3 or 4 grind size. The freshly roasted beans won't need to be ground as finely to get at the oils and gasses. A bean from a bag with a "Use By" date may have less gasses and oils, resulting in a need to grind finer to get at those remaining gasses and oils. Using a 2 or 1 grind size will probably just pulverize the bean and/or clog the grind chute. The grind size in combination with the strength chosen with the Strength Dial will affect the strength of the coffee.
If you continue to experience issues, please don't hesitate to send us an email at askus@brevilleusa.com or call us at 866-273-8455. We'll be happy to help you from there.

Excellent espresso grinder
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a more expensive grinder that just wouldn’t work with my machine. Timed dose is a really nice feature. Have used for both cold brew and espresso and it’s worked for each.

Entry level espresso
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a entry level espresso grinder, if you own an espresso machine this is a must have, the different between a fresh ground coffee and the pre ground is noticeable

Best for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used many professional grinders. This one takes more effort with calibration but it can grind more finely than needed for espresso too. Better to have more power than less.

Failed with Starbucks beans
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product as such I loved it.. everything was perfect until the day, coffee beans from Starbucks was added in. It might be the oily texture that Starbucks glazes the beans, the darn thing caused this puppy to screaming halt. It failed to grind Starbucks beans. I returned it. I would love to buy one if this grinder can take the glazed beans. BTW, I always keep it for Indian Filter coffee, which is closer to Turkish grind or finest possible grind.

Learning curve
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes a while to dial in good espresso. The grinder works great but you have to adjust everything just right, from the size of the ground, to the amount of time rinding.

The beans tend to get stuck and stops grinding
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually bought a second one of these, thinking that the first one must have been defective. Unfortunately, the same thing happened with the second one where the beans get jammed and it stops grinding. The motor keeps running, so unless you are watching it closely, you don't realize it until a few minutes later when there are no grounds in the recepticle. This product was recommended to me by a friend who loves it, but I had a bad experience twice and have moved on to another grinder.

This grinder is awesome
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a breville barista touch and has its own grinder. Sometimes my wife prefers decaf cappuccino. We bought this one sl we do t have to deal with the bean hopper which seems like a lot of mess and wrok. This grinder performs so much better than the integrated one.

Satisfied with grinder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 1st but grinder and I think it performs very well. A little noisy I did own an OXO for about 2 days and returned it due to faulty start button and decided to try another brand. I'm happy with this. My coffee is delicious
