I bought a Bambino Plus Espresso Machine from Best Buy and worked it with a Porlex Mini manual grinder. I did some research for a good Esprersso grinder and ended up with this model, which is the cheapest one for good Espresso. However, I noticed there was a problem with the previous models of the Smart Grinder Pro: the plastic propeller will worn out and the grinder will jam. But it seems that Breville had since change the plastic part to steel and the problem should be gone. It turns out this is NOT true. It also turns out that Best Buy may also sell you heavily used display model as new. When I tried to order from Bestbuy.com, I found that within 30 miles of driving distance there is only one store that had only one machine available to pick up the same day, which is labled as a display model. I then changed to shipping to my home. I was surprised to find that I actually can receive it next day. Once I received the grinder, I read the instruction very carefully to do the cleanning and preparation, and the first grind for two-shot only produce tiny amount and then nothing coming out. It is jammed the first time I am using it. I ended up had to use vacuum to suck out all the remainder (I was afraid to turn the machine upside down to dump the jammed coffee). Then I tried the second time, again, the same result. Of course, I only brew Espresso, so my setting is default at 12, which is very fine. But nevertheless, this is a widely reported desgin problem and commonly happened after months or a year of usage. But it happened to me brand new! Is this machine a display model and had been heavily used? I do not know for sure. But either way, this is a really bad sign to Breville and Best Buy, I will not buy this model again.

Doesn’t weigh accurately like it states, just a timer and not a scale. Grinder is not powerful, can only grind small amounts at a time even though hopper is large. Will say it works for what I need but sad it was so much and so limited. Wouldn’t recommend

Great grinder ,better than the cheaper units. Does not grind as consistent as some of the high end units . Works well for what it does though.

Pairs well with any of the Breville coffee makers, fits well under kitchen cabinents, and has a array of doffeent grinding selections for all coffee lovers

Overall excellent coffee grinder. Just wish the coarse grind would grind it a little more coarser. I use a stove top percolator and the fines drop thru.

Use everyday! Excellent product. Highly recommend.

Didn't purchase a warranty; stopped working around 14 months after purchase (with only about 10 months of use due to being left behind during pandemic). Impeller (internal part) wears out and it will not push grinds out. Wish I could buy replacement parts, but it's a super built in part. 3 stars for durability concerns. Otherwise, 5 all around.
