My wife love this machine !!! The best , really recommend

The grinder worked great, then, less than 3 months after purchase, it started jamming. I cleaned it out per the instructions but the jamming kept happening, to the point where it no longer works at all. Junk.

Not worth the price tag!!! Grinder keeps getting clogged. I have to unclog the coffee shute after every use. If i dont then the next time i use it the grinder wont work.

I really like the Brim Pour-Over system, so I purchased the matching grinder. I like a lot about it, but the pull-out grind bin design is seriously lacking. It’s impossible to remove the bin and to transfer freshly ground coffee to your filter without making a big mess. The bin is designed to slide in and out of the grinder base. When you do, ground coffee will cover your countertop. It’s poorly designed and I will unfortunately I need to return this item.

This is a very ok grinder, it is perfect for espresso & drip, but it isn't coarse enough for my french press.

Started making a loud clicking noise and stopped grinding after the 3rd use. Still need to get a refund.

Wanted decaf grind on tap. Works fine holds more than the hopper on the espresso machine. Seems a little spendy but is a solid grinder that matches the maker -1 star for value. If it came with a portafilter than I would say worth it.

Bought this grinder for fresh ground coffee and I must say I’m impressed with this machine. Coffee lovers is a must buy

This grinder has severe limitations and unreliable grind settings, especially at finer grinds. There is a mechanical adjustment internally as well as an external knob, neither of which do much at finer settings. If one is OK with only a courser grind, then the Smart Grinder will probably work OK.

The first day I used it, it could not grind through some quality arabica beans. What a piece of s$@! I am very disappointed, and returning. I will buy a Baratza from now on. I will never purchase another Breville appliance!

So far so good. Way quieter than my old one. Not very messy either.

Bought it and it broke in a month of use. Called the manufacturer and they send me another one and broke again in less than a month. The rotor stopped working like the first one. Never buying this brand ever and I don’t really recommend it.

Stopped working after 45 days! All the reviews were great but my guess is everyone loves it until it stops working. Waste of $200 and can’t return to Best Buy either because I didn’t save the packaging!

YEs, digital screen can impress, but behind the scenes how does this grinder actually change the settings? Grinders with manual setting control are more realistic and reliable. Unfortunately Breville is not what it used to be, now its too much marketing and little substance.

Extremely loud. Coffee beans get stuck. I have not been able to get even two shots of coffee.

Burr grinders are most definitely the way to go if you appreciate great fresh coffee you make at home, and buy your quality beans whole. I have owned other burr grinders, yet this Breville is well worth the extra $ you will spend. From its very first use, I appreciate why I spent more this time. Not only is it much quieter, Breville has solved the static electricity problem/mess you get with other grinders. You can fine tune the amount and size of grind (from very fine to course) depending on your personal preference. You can change it from shots, number of cups, fine grind for French press, etc. It has a digital readout that gives you length of time for each grind as well. If you grind your coffee the same every day, it keeps the previous setting in memory and you simply press a button to turn it on, and the same button again to produce your favorite grind. The hopper holds one pound of beans. I believe while grinding, it must not impart heat to the grounds which may directly effect the overall finished coffee taste. Without changing any other factors in my daily routine, the grind produces a more balanced, smooth coffee flavor. I am so impressed with this product, I have ordered the Breville Precision Brewer 12 cup coffee maker to work in concert with this grinder. I should receive it tomorrow. After a bit of use, I will submit a review for it as well. Bottom line, if you enjoy great coffee, this is a great grinder!

The Smart Grinder is fantastic! It grinds beans in seconds and is so simple and easy to use, it never feels like an extra step—even on busy mornings. I love having the freedom to buy fresh beans and quickly switch between espresso or regular coffee with just one grinder. Honestly, I feel a bit spoiled now that I understand how much the right grind matters, turning what could be bitter coffee into the perfect cup. Definitely a must-have for any coffee lover!

I bought this as a match to a nice true espresso machine. It easily grinds fine enough to make great coffee shop quality shots. The timer function allows you to dial in exactly how long it needs to go for a perfect shot. Lesser grinders can't give the fine grind or precision of this machine. Adjusting grind, time, and overall ease of use are great. The little accessories it comes with are also a nice bonus. It's overkill if you're just doing drip, press, or the like. Otherwise it's a true buy-it recommendation.

Grinds well and has plenty of features, but is louder than other machines I’ve heard. Motor completely broke after 3.5 years of moderate use. A bit pricey.
