We have been using the toaster oven for a few weeks now and have been nothing but thrilled with it. It's roomy without being too big, partially thanks to the hidden pushed out area in the back that allows for the pizza pans to fit without the wasted space. The interior light is fabulous! The digital screen is easy to see/use/navigate, and all the functions with and without convection are very helpful. It feels and looks high quality! No cheap super shiny plastic chrome handles and knobs here! The stainless finish is nice and sturdy, the knobs look high quality and reliable, the door handle feels substantial and weighty. The magnet on the door, for the center rack, that helps pull the rack out when opening is a small, but super helpful feature that shows how much thought has went into the look and production and design of this counter-top oven. We have cooked pizzas, a casserole, reheated pizza/flaky pastry/small pies and more, all with no issues. We have used it for both bagels and toast. The bagel function worked exactly as described. Toasty outside, soft inside. The toast function worked well, but like all toaster ovens, I felt the toast was a little too dry so I sandwich it between tinfoil to help that. Overall, it has been up to every task we have thrown at it and plan to buy the heat safe cutting board that goes on top soon. It is in another class from our old unit, 100% worth the money, and I highly recommend it!

This review is for the Breville Smart Over Pro. We bought this to replace our 20-year old Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Broiler, which was worn out. The Breville toaster oven is well built. The controls are easy to understand and use. The spring on the door is strong. If you let go when you are closing it, it will slam shut. Magnets on the door will pull out the grate, if the grate is in the middle position. There are three positions possible with the grate - high, middle, and low. You use the middle position for toast. Many people complain about the toasting time. Well, that is the trade-off with a device that serves two functions, both a toaster and an oven. The bread is necessarily farther from the heating elements in a toaster oven than it would be in a toaster, which only does one thing. Toasters only toast. Toaster ovens need more space in order to also be ovens. I use a dense, whole wheat bread for breakfast. It takes 6.5 minutes to lightly toast it in the Breville. In my Cuisinart toaster it only takes 4 minutes. When making toast, the oven light will come on when there are 30 seconds left in the toasting cycle. You can see the toast on the inside of the machine. If it is too light, you can turn the bottom dial clockwise to add more time (by the second). This is a welcome function. You don't have to wait for the cycle to finish. The crumb tray is accessible from the front of the machine. It includes a twelve-inch square baking pan with a broiler insert. It also includes a 13-inch round pizza pan. The oven has a curved extension in the back to accommodate the pizza pan. The Breville Smart Oven Pro is a worthy replacement for our excellent Cuisinart toaster over. You will enjoy using it. The Breville Smart Oven Pro is

My oven was having problems and deciding on trying a smaller over that would take less space and heat up faster. Too my surprise food came out great, The oven does get extremely hot if you touch the oven which is expected so have to be careful.

We've had this now for a couple of months. I only mention this to say that I can't vouch for longer term reliability. That said, this is a very nice toaster/oven. It's larger than the Cuisinart it replaced, but it's still a good size for our counter, and because it's larger is far more versatile. I appreciate the light inside the oven. We haven't tried the convection feature yet, but if it works that will also be nice to have. I like the ability to choose between bake and roast. The toast comes out perfect and the ability to choose the number of slices and the darkness level is good to have (though we ditched the Cuisinart after it passed its useful life and couldn't toast well at all, so not a fair comparison.) We haven't tried the other functions, such as bagels, cookies, reheat, so can't say anything either way. The controls are fairly intuitive, and I guess I'd say this is easy to use with all the bells and whistles it has. The magnetic rack auto eject is a nice touch. The Breville has a warming feature. Our last house had a warming oven, which we miss. So, given the larger size of this oven versus a normal toaster/oven, this will be really useful when doing several things in our full size oven. I'm sure there must be some negatives, but I can't come up with any right now.

Just opened it on Christmas Day, but followed first time user instructions and started using it for several side dishes for dinner. Very user friendly fool proof instructions.Food tasted just like the big oven. Using small and med. LeCreuset bakeware, which fits perfectly. Also warmed up some appetizers which were much better than using microwave. So, after only using it this one day...I love it and would have liked to have had it a long time ago. We'll see if it continues to perform without issue down the road. I expect it will but some reviews have not been very good.Follow the instructions and all should be fine. Can't wait to try other things !

I’ve been using the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro for a while now, and it’s easily the most versatile countertop appliance I’ve owned. It combines the functions of an air fryer, toaster oven, pizza oven, dehydrator, and more—all in one sleek stainless steel unit. - Cooking Performance: Everything comes out evenly cooked thanks to the Element IQ heating system. Air frying delivers crispy results without excess oil, and the pizza mode makes homemade pies taste restaurant-quality. - Capacity: The oven is surprisingly spacious. It fits a 13-inch pizza, a full baking pan, or even a small turkey, which makes it perfect for family meals. >Ease of Use: The LCD display and presets are intuitive, and I appreciate the included accessories like the air-fry basket and pizza pan. >Build Quality: Solid and durable, though it does take up a fair amount of counter space.

We use the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro multiple times a day, and it has easily become a staple in our kitchen. With a generous internal capacity, it accommodates everything from large trays of vegetables to family-sized pizzas or full chicken roasts without feeling cramped. The versatility is impressive: with 13 pre-programmed settings and a “super-convection” airflow system, it can function as a toaster oven, an air fryer, a pizza oven, a dehydrator—whatever the meal demands. The build is solid, the controls are intuitive and reliable, and the “Element IQ” heat-distribution system ensures consistent results with minimal fuss. Cleaning is straightforward too—removable pans and trays make maintenance quick and painless. In short: easy to use, dependable, and flexible enough to handle whatever meal challenge arises during the day.

I recently bought this and have since used it for the following - toasting bread slices and bagels, reheating roasted veggies, and reheating pizza. The biggest difference (compared to my previous 30$ toaster oven) is the "uniformity". Previously, the bread/bagels/etc. were always toasted in an uneven manner - more brown in regions closer to the element. Not so with this one. All regions are equally heated/toasted. It's easy to use - I didn't even read the manual. Some reviews mention oven is too loud, light is too bright, beeping it too loud, and light remains ON for too long. I don't think it is loud (in fact it's pretty quiet) and the others don't bother me. I put greater weight into "whether or not the product does what it's supposed to, and if so how well does it do it" compared to other characteristics. The body does get hot when operational (as expected), so don't keep plastic stuff nearby. Also, it looks really good on the counter top. It's worth the price. No regrets..

I absolutely love my Breville Smart Oven! I picked it up at a great price during Black Friday, and it has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances. It cooks food evenly and consistently, delivering reliable results every time. With so many versatile options—from roasting and baking to air frying and dehydrating—it makes experimenting with new recipes fun and easy. Having this oven alongside my main one was a lifesaver during the holidays—it felt like I had a professional two-oven setup right at home. It’s also been perfect for supporting my healthy diet, since I can prepare a wide variety of meals with precision. Overall, it’s reliable, versatile, and makes every meal feel special. Highly recommend!

I didn’t think that there were that many differences between toaster ovens, but I was wrong! I bought one from Kitchen Aid, it lasted 10 days, I just stopped working, no heat. I replaced it with the Breville and oh my, I just love it! Size, quality, features, even little things like the magnet on the door that pulls out your pizza pan. This oven was twice as expensive as my first one, but worth the money, I have no regrets!

Works well as an air fryer and a regular oven

The one negative is that it's not as good as our regular toaster oven for toasting - it's slower, and because the whole thing has to heat up, probably less efficient. But it's great at air frying as well as everything else an oven does. It only takes about 4-1/2 minutes to heat up to 425˚, compared to at least 15 for our regular oven. I've been using it almost every day. It's very easy and intuitive to use, and I've been very happy with the results. It seems that some of the negative comments are because of the original list price, which isn't current. Of course it's more expansive than a small stand-alone air fryer, but it's much more versatile - without giving up the quality of its air frying.

After our beloved Cuisinart stopped working, we did some research on new air fryers. Wirecutter did not disappoint on this recommendation. Although it was much bigger, this air fryer is amazing in all ways. It looks intimidating at first glance with all of the dials and settings. But, it's surprisingly easy to use and the end result is amazing every time. With the larger size, the cooking time has definitely increased. But, I'm amazed at how well this unit cooks the food evenly and bread is toasted perfectly. And with the larger size, we rarely have to use our built-in oven! This unit might cost a little more than others, but it's well worth the price!!

I bought this oven after some research, as the reviews I read said it was worth the somewhat lofty price for a countertop oven. I was replacing a smaller toaster/convection oven that had worn out. Wow! We very rarely use the big oven any longer! The quality and performance made this a bargain! From baking to reheating to toasting; everything we cook in this oven is perfection. Add to that the ease of operation and ease to clean! I have used it daily for several months before reviewing. Highly recommend!

My Breville Smart Oven is the best countertop oven I have ever purchased. I have been buying “toaster ovens” for over 50 years and finally found the perfect match for my kitchen. It is a very well made, multipurpose, and easy to clean smart countertop oven. I use it multiple times every day for toasting, cooking, baking, and reheating instead of my big oven. It heats up quicker and automatically turns of after cooking the meal. Well worth the purchase price!

I no longer use my apartments oven, this smart oven is so versatile and it has made cooking a baking so much easier. It has quickly become my favorite thing in my kitchen I love how much easier it is to monitor doneness compared to a conventional oven. The covection setting has also seriously improved my baking and has resulted in far more even cooking and im finding that the cook times on recipes have been far more accurare for me because it heats up to temp far more accurately than my conventional oven.

I LOVE THIS!! I bought on for myself for Work at the Office because the Toaster oven they had there was SAD. My coworkers went in on it with me. I love that I can cook a full 12 pound ham in it! It holds a 9x13 pan! It has a lot of features, and it comes with a pizza pan, extra racks for more cookies, and the I loved it so much that when my younger niece and nephew to be bought a house and their stove had been relocated to Living Room while they had to fix the kitchen I got them one as well!!! It is also good when you are just fixing yourself something and don't want to heat up the big stove/oven and heat up the whole house.

It took me forever to convince myself to pay this much for a toaster over, but I have been living for years with just a microwave and hot plate. I'm glad I took a chance. What I missed most about having an oven was for baking goodies like cakes and pies. This works great for that! I learned though not to use convection for everything. But I loved the convection when baking several batches of ratatouille. Tops were browned as well as bottoms. For my apartment, this is the right size, but I almost wish I would have gotten the larger model (so I can cook more at once). The instructions are great, but they do help (especially pan placement). I seen some reviews where people complained that this was loud, but I don't know what they are talking about--yes, with the convection turned on, there is a fan that's blowing, but it's not loud at all (I was expecting Jets overhead kind of loudness from those reviews). I've only had this a few weeks, but have made pies, turnovers, all sorts of vegetable dishes, and cookies. I have yet to do anything with meat or pizza. While I like those presets, I feel like have more control just using the bake setting. I'm completely happy I bought it!
