Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Bambino Plus Espresso Machine, particularly its milk frother, which is praised for making excellent cappuccinos, and its ease of use. The machine's overall performance as an entry-level espresso maker and its compact size are also appreciated. However, some customers find the cleaning notifications unyielding and the machine a little too lightweight.

Water leaking under the drip tray

It has been functional OK, except that there is water leaking under the drip tray for making every shot. I googled this issue and found that there have been complaints about this issue starting five to six years ago. To my surprise, this problem was not addressed for so long. I am thinking to return this product.

Perfectly compact with the BEST lattes. I love that you can choose how warm to make the milk because I love mine super hot!! The frother works great and it’s all relatively easy to use after reading instructions.

It’s been a lovely road to learn to use this small machine. It’s fast. Frothing is good. Not as difficult s as we though. The kids love each time we try to do some latte art.

All features I liked the larger Breville is compacted into this smaller one. Only thing is I wish there were more than 3 milk temperature setting - not temperature settings - only choice is low, med, high. But makes a great latte.

Great little espresso machine — powerful, reliable, and easy to use. The Breville Bambino Plus Espresso Machine delivers rich, full-flavored espresso with a perfect crema every time thanks to its 15 bars of pressure. The automatic milk frother is excellent, producing smooth, velvety micro-foam for café-quality lattes and cappuccinos right at home. Its compact stainless steel design fits beautifully on a countertop without taking up too much space, and it’s fast — heating up in about a minute so you’re never waiting for your morning coffee fix. Whether you’re pulling a quick espresso shot or crafting a creamy latte, this machine consistently performs with impressive precision. Highly recommended for anyone who wants professional-style drinks without the café price tag.

I’ve been using the Breville Bambino Plus for a few weeks now, and it’s been fantastic. It heats up in seconds, pulls consistently rich espresso shots, and the 15 bars of pressure really make a difference in flavor and crema. The milk frother is easy to use and produces café-quality microfoam — perfect for lattes and cappuccinos. The stainless steel design looks sleek on the counter, and cleanup is simple. It’s compact, powerful, and makes getting a great cup of coffee at home effortless. Highly recommend it!

This machine is solid. Heats up fast, pulls a clean shot, and the milk frother is actually good—not some weak steamer. You do need a decent grinder to get the best out of it, but when it's dialed in, the espresso hits. It’s compact, easy to clean, and doesn’t feel cheap. Not a “wow my life is changed” machine, but definitely one of the best “I just want good coffee at home without stress” options. No regrets so far.

Best espresso machine I've owned. I've owned a few machines but by far this is the easiest and best to use. It has an automatic milk from her that you can adjust the heat and how much froth you get. The brewing is made simple and easy with the 2 presets that are measured in oz which making getting consistent results easy and fast but they are also adjustable for more or less water. Finally it has a system that lets you know when and what type of cleaning the machine needs making this the best beginner and intermediate machine on the market.

First off the espresso machine doesn’t look 100% like in the photos. The one you get (a newer model I believe) has some red highlights around the frother handle and the water tank. Which is ok but you know it’s the little things bc I didn’t plan to see red every time I walk into the kitchen meh. The stainless steel tho looks great, love it! I LOVE how easy it is to use the machine. I’m having so much fun making my espresso beverages at home now. (but) What I noticed after two weeks of use is that the porta lock sometimes requires more strength than the machine can withhold without moving haha. Like you have to hold the machine on top while locking. Not a big deal tho. I think this is a great alternative to the $600/700 version with the grinder if you don’t mind buying coffee ground instead of beans or get a separate grinder

I get this machine gift from my sons for mother day, I’m in love with it, it’s the best machine I’ve ever used, I used to it drink one cup of coffee but right now I’m drinking 2 cups a day. All-in-all, this is an amazing machine There is a reason this machine is so popular and highly rated. There's a lot of customization available to you and it is a very good quality machine., is great for the majority of consumers and is super user friendly. Use higher quality beans directly from the roasters and learn how to use the machine and make drinks and you'll be very happy with it. The quality is truly amazing for such a low cost espresso machine.

Compensates for my lack of skill

My coffee grinding skills are horrible. My frothing skills are slightly better. I would love to improve and be more accurate but I just don't have the time. This espresso machine sounded great for me. We previously had a Hamilton Beach machine that obviously wasn't any good... but it made espresso so it served its purpose until it recently died. First, the auto-frothing is AMAZING to me. My wife likes her milk lava-hot but I prefer not to burn my tongue off. The settings on the frother are super easy to acheive either result. Same for the froth amount. One problem here is that sometimes I want to use a milk subsititute and it throws off the calculation for temperature and time. It still works, you just need to experiment for the milk. The auto cleaning feature is also awesome. Part of why my old machine broke is because I was lazy and would clean it (I've changed my ways I promise!). The auto purging feature after steaming milk is awesome buuuuuttt... a little messy too. It the waste tray isn't seated right, you'll get milky water everywhere. Speaking of the tray, it fills pretty quick. But there's a little red floater that tells you when its full - that's also really nice. As for espresso itself, the portafilter comes with pressurized baskets which I am a huge fan of because, as I said, I can't get consistently ground coffee. The unit heats up FAST. Like CRAZY fast. Espresso comes out pretty tasty with good crema. The one thing here, and I'll echo others, is that getting the filter on is pretty tough on the first brew. Wetting the filter a bit or running an empty shot usually helps. It's not a *huge* deal, personally. I really love my machine. It is easy and fast to make espresso drinks. I don't have to be highly skilled but I think it also allows people to experiment and learn. So, great for beginners who like good espresso, in my opinion.

Bought as a Christmas present to wife, who used to batista. Researched before purchasing and decided this esspresso maker will, most likely, hold up for a long time. We already had a good grinder so didn't need that. It's simple with the auto wand but experienced people can use it manually. Bought on sale in a Best Buy store.

It's a great machine. Very convenient as a first good espresso machine. Is very easy to us, compact, and yields delicious espresso. And it is really ready to use within seconds of turning it on. The automation features are very convenient for quick drinks in the morning. However, there but there are some minor things to be aware of: If you are intending to use pre-ground coffee, be aware that depending on the grind size and type, you may not be able to get more than 16grams in the basket. With more than that is very difficult to get the portafilter into the machine. Typical espresso shots are between 17 and 19 grams. If you have a good espresso grinder, this should not be an issue. The auto-frothing option is awesome and convenient, but can be a little inconsistent. I always chose the mid option for amount of foam and sometimes get a nice, silky microfoam, while others it feels more like capuccino foam. You can always manually froth the milk if you prefer more control. The heating "rack" or "plate" on top of the machine is essentially useless. It only heats up when the machine is pulling a shot or frothing. Overall is a great machine, but in my opinion, is a bit overpriced. If you are willing to give up the auto-frothing, the regular Bambino might be a better value.

Good entry level espresso maker. I like the small footprint, as we are using it on a bar with the martini glasses. Only slight downside is the settings for the 1 and 2 cup durations, and getting the granularity of your coffee right, aren't as intuitive as I'd like and could be explained better in the instructions. It took about a half dozen attempts at making bad espresso until we got it right. But once you have it down, it does the job.
