It’s not unreliable, the espresso just isn’t hot and nowhere near the 200 degrees they claim it is. I even tried to bump it up to 208 degrees using the methods shown in their help videos, but the end result was exactly the same. I would love to make Americano’s every morning, but the fact that it isn’t hot, and there appears to be no way to get it to give you just hot water makes it impossible to do with this machine. I thought this would be a great option because of the coffee grinder, but I was wrong, I have gotten better results from a $100 espresso machine and a $30 grinder. Understand I do not rule out that this particular until might be defective, but it certainly isn’t working right.

Posted .The water is heated to 200 degrees F, which will result in espresso at +/- 160-170 F. Please make sure to preheat the filter/portafilter and cup/mug to ensure the espresso isn't being cooled by those items.
