I was so hesitant to pull the trigger on this one because of the price, but so glad I did. Breville has not let me down with any of their products I have purchased so far - smart oven, juicer, espresso machine. I had some difficulty getting the pressure up on my initial espresso pull, and though I was going to need to send the unit back. I called Breville customer service and the reps there are super knowledgeable. They don't go into it much in the guide, but depending on the type of whole bean you are grinding, you may need to change from the single wall filter to the dual wall filter. As soon as I made the change, the pressure gauge was exactly where it needed to be. I've had the unit for about 2 months now, and the only downside is I'm blowing through Americanos and probably slightly over-caffeinated... but saving me tons of $$ from the local brew house.

This was my first ever espresso machine. I bought it for my wife for Mothers day and she loves it. I use it daily as well and i couldnt say anything that has a fault. It looks nice, pressures well and makes a great shot of espresso. All around great product.

I love my little machine. Been using it for a few months. No more latte coffee runs. And now I get family visitors just for a cup of coffee. It helps to watch videos if you’re a first timer. Especially on how to keep it clean. I make hot drinks and my daughters make iced!

Definitely worth it! Just takes some getting used to get to the right shot that you are looking for but honestly after using this, I am not even satisfied with starbucks coffee anymore! Also this manual one is better than the preset/techy one. Get some good beans and you will be in love!

Well, what can I say. After 4 years, $300 in other espresso machines, $200 in wasted espresso trying to pull a decent shot. $60 on a loud, finicky grinder. For what? This thing went on sale and finally decided enough was enough. I worked at Starbucks for 2 years which made it really hard to enjoy home made coffee, even with Starbucks being freshly ground in my home. This thing — once dialed in, which by the way is incredible that you have the option to dial it in — can pull shots just as good as Starbucks. I made a latte and the shots were perfect. The steamer actually makes things hot and frothy unlike most other machines. Plus, I’m here singing praises about it. So it’s worth your time and money. The manual is comprehensive and comes with a breadth of tools and cleaning accessories. If you love espresso and handcrafted coffee (and tea, since there’s a dedicated hot water spout), get this thing. And take care of it!!! You won’t be disappointed.

So far, absolutely love the machine. Easy to use and maintain and it make EXCELLENT Espresso. Me and my wife are saving our trips to Starbucks because of it. It would take a few minutes to set up and make sure everything is in right range (coffee amount, pressure, etc.) but as soon as you established your favorite setting, all you need to do is press buttons and enjoy fresh coffee.
Very happy with the machine 10/10 so far.

This is my replacement for a DeLongi that I owned. The fresh grind is the best. I also like the features built in steamer and hot water dispenser. So easy to set up and operate. I just had one issue for the installation to figure out grind switch but tech support was prompt to help. The set up guide could be better.

Excellent product. Pressing the power button, starting on the grinder, and making my morning espresso is super easy. The built-in grinder makes life so much simpler.
I highly recommend it to the professional who must wake up and go in the morning.

So far I have enjoyed using this machine, it's a great beginner machine. We chose this particular model based on our previous experience with other Breville products we own. Like all other espresso machines there is somewhat of a learning curve involved in producing the exact product that you want. In the long run, I feel like we will save money vs. visiting our local coffee shop or chain every other day.

Easy to use, and makes great espresso. We've had ours for just over 2 years now and have had no issues with some fairly heavy regular use. Just recently it has started to show signs that it might be wearing out. I would buy again at the current price point with as well as it has held up.

I love this machine. I have no prior espresso experience before owning this machine and overall simple to use but a lot of features for the professional user as well. It makes wonderful espresso. I can make my own white chocolate mochas now. Sorry Starbucks you don't get my money anymore.

This coffee maker is spectacular. It doesn't make noise and the coffee comes out super delicious. Perfect for when you have company and you don't want to waste the coffee because it makes 1 to 2 cups.

Never thought that a product could improve my mornings so significantly. Easy to use, easy to clean, and makes great espresso.
If you are thinking about or have purchased:
A good starter coffee is:
Lavazza crema e aroma
Also, consider buying a tamper, the one that comes with the machine does a descent job but a heavier one off amazon helps create more consistent pulls of espresso.
