When our 4th or 5th Keurig died, my wife and I decided to try something else. I splurged and got this instead. A first I wasn't sure how much we'd use it, given the few extra steps required to get to the morning caffeine. Man oh man. Totally worth it. I can't buy a latte that tastes as good as what my wife makes with this thing every morning. Between my wife, me and our oldest daughter, we make 7-9 double shot lattes each day with this machine. It has held up perfectly under that amount of use. The heating element works as well as the day we bought it. The steam wand is still as powerful as new. The stainless is so easy to keep clean and all the tools and accessories are going perfectly strong. We're absolutely sold on this Breville. When the time comes and it finally dies, I will be replacing it with this exact same machine.

The barista express espresso maker is perfect for home use, the flavor is amazing, once you get the hang of it it’s easy to use, I found some videos on YouTube that helped, it’s pricey but worth it!

This is the second Barista Express I've own. Our first one in nearly 5 years old and still works great. I bought this for my parents and they couldn't be happier!

I have had this machine for 3 weeks and I am still learning the many aspects of it’s use. Coming from using a Ninja pod machine which was quick and easy there is definitely a learning curve and time investment. Coffee flavor is improved. I am still struggling with the steam wand and getting a micrfoam result. Milk is coming out flat and not foamy. I have cleaned the wand several times and still poor results. I will be contacting the manufacturer to find out what I am doing wrong . I have used a steam wand on a prior less expensive machine with much better results. This is the only issue I have had to date. I will update this review in a couple of months once I have more time to use the machine.

She is LOVING this! Experimenting with the machine and getting all the stuff. I was surprised that it did not come with the frothing cup, but it was easy enough to get

I wanted to love this $600 machine, but comparing to the $1000 dollar machine there is no comparison. I bought this with Geek Squad 2 year protection and THANK GOODNESS for that. I keep it clean and only use fresh filtered water With a filter in the tank. Even with my best efforts it started over pressuring after about a year. I replaced it for free with my geek squad and 1 year later the exact same issue. So i turned in this model and used the full purchase price that i was issued back by geek squad and paid the difference for the upgrade. (that's a long way to go to spend $1000 on a coffee maker, but WOW, the upgrade makes good coffee).... To be fair while i had this one working for a year, it produces greart espresso.

Late review since I’ve owned this machine for over 3 years. I’ve used it EVERYDAY except when I’m away on vacation. It’s rock solid. Just make sure you do the periodic maintenance such as descaling and use good quality water. It may seem expensive but I drink a $7 Starbucks mocha latte every morning. Bulk whole beans is also much cheaper to buy and gives better flavor. Most importantly - TIME. I don’t have to wait in line for quality coffee since it only takes me a few minutes in the morning. Don’t hesitate and enjoy great coffee and the convenience of making it at home.
