I replaced my Breville BES820XL of 10 years with the newer Barista Express Machine. I'm 6 weeks in and I'm not impressed. My issues are mainly around inconsistencies. For instance, the grind never gives me even close to a consistent amount of coffee. Also, I can never get a double shot from the machine. Sometimes I'll get 1/2 an ounce, other times 1 ounce, but never 2 ounces. I always have to press the double shot twice to get even close to 2 ounces. I've even reprogrammed the double shot to the maximum amount of time it will let me program it to. I've reached out to support, who are very slow to respond and there only comment to me was to check the power in my house. I never had an issue with my old Breville. I will say, I do love the built-in grinder, but I wish it was consistent.

What a great machine. For 20 some years my wife has made her daily mocha from the inexpensive steamers lat last about a year or two. I finally gifted this to her for a Christmas and WOW! Her quality of life just took a big leap. The mocha’s this makes in comparison to her previous machines or any big chain coffee shop for that matter are far more rich and flavorful. We were concerned about making the large 24 oz mochas that she was accustomed to as I do no online reviews or instructions anywhere. I gambled that we’d figure it out and we did. We use the carafe from the steamer machine (always available at Goodwill) and rather than pressing the two cup button for an espresso, I just push the button as many times as it takes to fill the carafe which is usually about 4 times. Great investment.

Straightforward easy to use. Read manually thoroughly. Once you find your groove its literally so easy to pull your shots. Will be some trial and error but well worth it.

This machine is fantastic! I would had prefered if the instruction manual would of had more detail regarding how to use the milk frother as well as some recipes.

This has saved me 38$ a day between coffee and gas at my favorite coffee stand Dutch bros and I suggest u watch lots of you tube videos on how to pull a perfect shot and u will love it !!!

After I bought this machine, I may never need Starbucks again! Very solid machine, makes great espresso drinks every time! Tip: keep it super clean after every use and it will last forever!

Took a little adjusting and tinkering to get the perfect beans and grind to make great espresso shots. Once I found that ideal setting, there isn't going back to Starbucks or any other coffee spot. Also helps that my daughter is a barista ;) . Worth every penny and pretty much pays for itself.

It’s amazing. Little tricky but when you finally adjust everything to your taste, it’s really like a professional espresso coffee.

Initially bought a cheaper espresso machine and immediately returned it due to how noisy it was. Upgraded to the Breville and LOVE IT!!! Use it every day. Worth every penny! You will appreciate the quality and ease of use. Wish I had bought it sooner!

So much fun to use! Got as a gift for Christmas… the manuel made it easier to learn how to use.

Absolutely love it! FYI, the plastic sleeve that comes with it screws on the top of the espresso grind holder to prevent excess grind power from falling over onto the tray. It's awesome.

Im in love with my esspresso coffer maker. The coffe turns out great.

In addition to espresso, this thing has a hot water dispenser for making other hot drinks. The eapresso part is easy to learn and tastes great with syrups of your choice. We use this thing at least twice a day - paying for itself not having to go to Starbucks every morning :)

I love this machine. It makes barista quality espresso at home. For about a dollar you can make SB and CC drinks at home. Super simple to use. Takes a little bit to get the grind size and dosage amount dialed in, but after that its easy. Hit the power button, start grinding beans, by the time the beans are ground the machine is warmed up and ready to go. The only complaint I have is that there in no low water tank indicator on the machine. With the tank in the back, you need to make sure you poke your head to the side and look to make sure it has water. Running out of water would toast your lovely new espresso machine.

Always wanted to buy this, finally made the move to do so and was glad I did. Getting the hang of it takes some time, but once you do you won’t regret it. Also, I bought it and the prices dropped two weeks later and BB refunded me the difference.
