I have been researching the "best" home espresso/cappuccino machine for quite a while. When this went on sale, I couldn't resist. It is quite easy to use and clean daily. It does take a short time to get the grind that works best for "your" perfect cup of coffee. The frother/steamer works flawlessly, although I personally would've made the wand maybe 1 inch longer. With cleaning it takes me less than 5 minutes to get my morning cup of coffee, and it really is a well designed machine.

This is something that had been on my wishlist for years, I’m so glad i finally bit the bullet. I know i will get my moneys worth in no time. I did buy additional accessories to elevate my experience (recommended but not necessary) the more I use it and learn about pulling the perfect shot the more I love it

Easy to use, makes perfect coffee every single time, and not to mention it has saved me a bunch of money! Definitely worth it.

Great Esspresso machine. The PID keeps the water temperature accurate, which most machines in this price range don't do. Most will pull hotter earlier in the shot and cooler towards the end. That's, in my opinion, why this makes a better tasting espresso than others. The milk frother is great as well.

This is my first premium coffee machine and I feel like this was the best decision I have ever made. I might have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars by making coffee at home rather than buying it for $7 from Starbucks

It took me a while to perfect using this machine but now it's one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen. I think it makes espresso drinks as good or better than the coffee shop down the street, and the convenience of having it in my home makes me happy everytime I use it. After you buy it, I recommend watching some video clips online to learn how to use it quickly and effectively. The manual is too tedious to go through in my opinion.

One of the best purchase I made!! Don't hesitate. Just get it. Great addition to my kitchen. Good investment if you are coffee lover and don't want to waster your money outside to purchase 6 to 7 dollars coffee on daily basis and save more time nor being in a line at coffee shops or drive through.

This is a great coffe machine. Easy to use Come with accessories. Have a coffe grinder I highly recommend!

When you open it, dont expect perfect espresso right away. Its takes you fine tuning it to make the right cup. Perfect grind size, the right beans, and the right pressures make all thw differnece. Once you get it though, its perfect. Its better than your typical coffee shop.

The Breville Barista Express is a fantastic semi-automatic espresso machine. It does have a slight learning curve (moreso for the milk frother than the machine itself) but once you have the grind settings dialed in, you are pretty much set for pulling an excellent shot every time. The milk frother wand can be a bit tricky to get a good microfoam however, but likely a result of user error rather than the machine itself.

Excellent product and very pretty and perfect for the home and my wife was very pleased with the product.

For anyone who loves espresso but is nervous with the idea of making your own? This is such an easy machine to learn on and makes amazing espresso!

Easy to use! Feels like I’m an actual barista when serving coffee!

At first when I first saw the Barista Express, I was a bit hesitant to buy. After bringing this beauty home, I have had nothing but pleasure making my own expressos. It is so easy to grind your own beans and the aroma in the morning is amazing. A bit pricey but it's so worth it.

one of the best purchases I have made, at a very good price. Now I can make my coffees at home whenever I want, at the time I decide. WHEN I bought it, the treatment from the staff in the store was excellent, the entire purchasing experience was very good.

I first purchased a Breville Barista Express Expresso in 1975 when I was a doctoral student at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. I was 30 years of age at the time. I am now 80. That Breville Barista lasted for more than 50 years, and I enjoyed a latte almost every morning. Whenever guests visited, I was praised for the latte that I served to them. I only went to Starbucks when I was out of town. My lattes taste better than those made by Starbucks!!

Pros: Incredibly delicious Learning curve is not as steep as most reviews say. Consistency Cons: Grinder doesn’t feed perfectly every time with some types of beans Grinder could be big enough to fit one bag, it’s just a hair shy Water tank could be bigger Drip tray fills quickly Love it and it set a new standard (a stupid high one) for coffee at home. The price is expensive but if it saves you 3 cups at Starbucks per week that’s about a $14 savings. It pays for itself over time.

I used to be a barista, and I have been wanting to buy a quality espresso machine for years, and finally bit the bullet. I know it's a little pricey, but it is worth every penny. We have saved so much by making our espressos at home. Make sure you read the manual well before trying to use it; if you're not a barista already, you'll need to learn how to use it properly in order to make quality espresso and steamed milk.
