I was searching for an espresso machine in August. I didn’t want to spend $700 on a coffee machine so I went with the De’Longhi all in one coffee/espresso maker. Within a month the pump went and although the year warranty covered us to get sent a new machine, the new pump started to go immediately. We went right to Best Buy and gave them the replacement De’Longhi for this machine and I wish I had just purchased it in the first place. It took some playing with but it’s reliable and delicious and fun to use. I couldn’t recommend this espresso maker enough.

This machine works and looks great. The espresso it makes is very good and it eliminates the need for sophisticated tools needed for puck prep like scale, tamper etc.. Also, the auto milk frother is a blessing and my wife loves it so much! It also takes you step by step through the process and it learns from previous trials. It is also very user friendly!!

We had a Nespresso that cost about $100, but the capsules we liked cost $1.25 each. Being heavy coffee drinkers, I'd say we went thru 100 capsules a month, so when we figured it out, that put us at $1,500 per year for capsules alone. After doing the math, we opted to give this machine a try and invested in our favorite coffee beans, Allegro Bel Canto, which costs about $12/lb at Whole Foods. In a nutshell, we are very happy with this machine's performance in every aspect, from grinding to brewing and the convenience of having hot water for an Americano and steam for lattes and cappuccinos right at your fingertips. Be patient because at first I was a little intimidated with all stainless steel, dials and buttons, so my husband had to walk me thru the steps, but once you master your skills, you will be saving your money in the long run and enjoying cup after cup of a perfect coffee drink. As a added plus, it helps with my efforts to go GREEN, as I save my coffee grinds in a container as I do with used eggshells and about once a month I pulverize the eggshells and sprinkle both around my roses and then add miracle grow and my roses have never looked more beautiful, so there is no waste. So, give it a try ... you will be very happy you did :-)

I’m not a regular coffee drinker. I purchased this as a gift for my wife who drinks coffee everyday. This is a really good machine for what it does in the space it’s designed. If the coffee is not good it’s usually because of the choice of bean more than anything else. It’s designed well so you really cannot complain. The only problem is that it’s hard to use this as an everyday appliance if you have a busy life. We use this once a week on average and have found it easier to use the nespresso for everyday use since it gets the job done quicker sometimes at the cost of coffee that does not taste as good. That’s the case story with most things in life.

This is a great machine so far, very low maintenance, cleans up easily. Took some light experimenting to get the ground / coffee amount to sync up, once complete, great doubleshot of espresso every time. I mostly go with an americano for ease, but I've been happy with capuccinos as well. Espresso makes a nice affogato and a really good martini too.

So I originally bought the Brim but had to return it because it wouldn’t make more than 2 espresso drinks at once. So I carefully considered this purchase because it was a bit more money than I wanted to spend. However, I’m glad I did, keep in Mind I’ve only had it two days so far but I’m in love! Grinder is heavy duty and well built, the machine works like a dream, wasn’t much of a learning curve at all and I’ve never owned an espresso machine before. Just read directions, watch a video, and my coffee came out perfect on the first shot. We wanted a bit more volumne of coffee so we programmed the single and double shot to dispense just a bit more. This machine is great, I’m so glad I made the purchase.

Great machine for an at home coffee bar. Saving me and my girlfriend tons of money by staying home and getting better coffee out of it. I recommend this machine because it's tried and true. You will find countless videos, reddit posts, forums, threads, etc., on how to set it up, use it, make any drinks, tips, tricks, all of it.

    Great Espresso Machine

Having owned an "el cheapo" espresso machine before this was a giant leap because it's certainly a lot more expensive and a hard decision to make. For good espresso you need both a good coffee grinder and a good espresso machine that can handle the bar pressure needed to get that crema out of the coffee. This machine does both and I feel that I did a good decision in trying it. If you are an experienced espresso coffee maker, this should be easy, but a semi-newbie like me, it took some time to get it right where I like it. Don't expect to make your perfect espresso at the first try!! You will need to play with the machine's adjustments to make your coffee as it should be. I do hate the fact that to get the proper amount of grind, it will build a mountain and overflow. Apparently that's normal, but you can also do it two steps if you want and DON'T skimp on the amount of coffee you must put in there or you won't get the results you need. Love the fact that it comes with a tamper already. The steamer works great and easy to clean if you do it right away!!. Watch videos, over and over, to learn the what to do and not do. I use the Starbucks Espresso (white bad) coffee bean and the Italian Roast (brown bag) which are both my favorite. Expect small amount of coffee, not a cup full. it is an espresso and very concentrated. I would recommend this machine for the step up or anyone who loves Americanos, lattes, straight espresso, etc... It simplifies the need for an additional grinder where you should spend at least $200-$300 anyway. So if you've been waiting to make that decision, do it. I don't regret it so far since I now have it for a month. Noise level is reasonable as you would expect from a coffee grinder. Ok... time for coffee now that I've talked about it

I love this espresso machine. I was easily able to adjust the grinder; internal and external adjustment. I often pull great shots of espresso as a novice espresso machine user. The steam wand does a great job, but sometimes the steam shuts off while I'm trying to use it. It seems like the compressor stops for some reason. This happens when I switch between purging the water within the steam wand, switching the steam to off, switching the steam back on and putting the wand into the cup.

I could not be more pleased with this machine. It did take a little bit of getting used to, especially as I have no past barista experience. Now I look forward to making my own lattes and espresso at home because it tastes even better than a coffee shop! Definitely worth the splurge.

Machine is very user friendly, but I am shooting myself in the foot for not purchasing the dual boiler machine instead. The steam wand is very good, but tend to be a bit slow. The espresso quality is fantastic if you use fresh beans. The water reservoir is a bit small. The machine is very compact, relatively quiet and stays very cool compared to competitors.
