Unfortunately, due to the microwave option, you give up the bottom heating element that in the typical toaster/compact countertop oven. Aire frying is probably still great, yet I missed that bottom heating element that I returned this unit & b ought two separate Breville products and I'm much happier.

Not happy, I wish I could return it and buy each product separately.

however some may accumulate around the oven door.

The repair will cost more than it cost new. Save your money and just get a simple device. Apparently the cutting edge engineering of microwave building is not something these guys have sorted out yet.

Very concerned that I wasted $500.00

And, within about 30 days, the door latch has malfunctioned and would not close. Luckily, being mechanically inclined, I was able to gently poke around with the door latch, and it's working again. I'm not sure why it happened, or if it will happen again. I'm very concerned.

We had to ship it back, which was easy since we had saved the original box. We received a remanufactured oven in return. My fingers are crossed that this one lasts longer.

Microwave is extremely low powered. A small bag of microwave popcorn was not fully popped even with an additional 40 seconds added to the maximum recommended pop time.

It’s a microwave with an identity crisis

Thought I could reduce the amount of appliances and save counter to space. Then bought a compact toaster and instant pot with an air fryer to do all the things this one said it could do. Nothing gets dry, but it’s not crispy either. It’s a great microwave, the other features are questionable. I appreciate the soft door close, the easy to pick options, and nice sounding beeps and noises.
