I’ve used better microwaves at half the price. It’s a bad convection oven. Things take far longer to cook than they should and it takes longer to preheat than a full sized oven. I suspect it can’t actually maintain the set temperature. As an air fryer it’s completely useless. Nothing comes out crispy. It’s always soggy. There’s no point. Save your money and get something else.

Broke after 2 years

It was awesome, but first the soft close feature broke. Then it just stopped working. I had it maybe 2 years. I expected for the price it would last a lifetime. Just got off the phone with support and it is $205 to get it repaired. I can’t recommend this as much as I love my other Breville products and as much as I love the brand in general. I am in shock that it just stopped working and they won’t repair it without putting another $200+ into it.

We used the air fryer and it works well making fries. We also heated up breaded soggy fish. The air fryer made the breading crunchy again. The microwave works well, we expected it to. My husband used the combi setting to heat pizza. He was happy it heated the pizza but managed to keep the integrity of it. The soften butter works well, however it works best with 4oz of butter. All in all, we really like this Breville. We bought it to replace my daughter's old Cuisinart microwave that quit working. We are going to buy a second one for our home.

I had a cheap Sharp microwave and an old Instant Vortex. Unfortunately, for the price this do not meet expectations. Micrpwave was weak. Airfyer took 2.5x longer and was more like a bake and not an airfry.

Mediocre at best

Unfortunately, due to the microwave option, you give up the bottom heating element that in the typical toaster/compact countertop oven. Aire frying is probably still great, yet I missed that bottom heating element that I returned this unit & b ought two separate Breville products and I'm much happier.

Not happy, I wish I could return it and buy each product separately.
