So far I'm enjoying this combo microwave. It does a good job of heating the food evenly. What makes this even better is that is has a convection oven and air fryer feature. I was able to cook french fries in air fryer mode. They came out pretty good, but they weren't as crispy compared to when I cooked them in my air fryer in the basket. The air seems to circulate better in the basket types, in comparison to the skillet pan which comes with this unit. The presets are easy to read and follow when using the onscreen directions on the device screen. I truly love the soft close feature on the door. You don't have to worry about slamming the door with this unit. If you try to slam the door, it will stop a few inches from the closed position, and it will close gently and softly by itself. Overall an awesome microwave oven.

Bought this as replacement for microwave. Loved the idea of microwave, air fryer, and oven all in one to save countertop space. While the grill/oven and microwave features function well, the air fry function is a complete waste. Regret paying $450. Preset cooking functions are not precise enough either. For example, when entering the weight of an item, rather than going by 10ths of a pound (1.1, 1.2, etc.), it only goes by half-pound. A solid disappointment.

Very reliable, great power, well made, great function, high end quality product, very easy to use. Cooking perfect & fantastic! Strongly recommend to anyone who looking for the professional oven/microwave.

Still working great over four years later! Very happy and it does exactly what we wanted. The only caveat is the air fryer isn't quite as "fry-ey" as our stand alone air fryer was, but it works well enough for what we need.

Very good microwave. I had used for three years, never broken down. Multiple functions, I can almost cook everything in it. Its worth the value.

This microwave does it all, it has so many features that you will need to keep the manual handy for a little while until you learn all the features included with it. I was thoroughly impressed with the Breville Combi Wave and would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a microwave that can do it all. I used this to cook any number of items that I would normally cook in the microwave and a bunch that I never would have thought to cook within the microwave and the Breville Comi Wave did an amazing job with everything.

First off, I have to agree with another reviewer that the manual leaves a lot to be desired. After seemingly unending pages of warnings, it was difficult to ascertain in which situations using metal inside the unit would be safe. When using the Combi function, can one use metal? Probably not b/c the microwave would be in use, but it would be nice for the manual to spell out in detail when metal can and cannot be used - a glaring omission in my opinion. Otherwise, this is a nice combination unit; however, as mentioned, there are trade-offs. For us, the biggest is not being able to microwave and bake/cook something simultaneously. My wife is used to having something cooking in the microwave while at the same time cooking something else in our small convection/toaster oven. If we get rid of those individual units in place of this 3 in 1, then that would no longer be possible. Another thing I wish would be possible would be for the backlight on the display to always be on. Believe it or not, the microwave is the main clock in our kitchen, but this unit doesn't keep the backlight on at all times, so one cannot simply glance at the microwave from across the kitchen to see the time. If there is a way to keep the light on on the display, please let me know. Another thing, we couldn't find cleaning instructions for the crisper pan - is it dishwasher safe? Another reason we consider the manual lacking.

Stopped working after 3 yrs liked the microwave it was Aesthetically pleasing and all features worked good i am very disappointed that it stopped working.

Frankly, it is amazing that someone has finally put together a convection oven and a microwave. The space savings is amazing. And the oven is stylish. Being that it's a Breville, it's very stylish. The soft close door is a great feature (though it took a bit to get used to). The microwave works as well as you'd expect. The oven worked well, but it didn't brown as well as we wanted. The combi feature was really nice, but, again, we hoped for more browning. The controls are easy and intuitive. There are lots of well thought out presets. And, finally, the outside of the oven stayed cooler than we expected. All in all, it is a very satisfying new kitchen appliance. I would recommend this to anyone, and highly recommend it to anyone with limited kitchen space.

This is a great gadget! The only negative to it is the sheer size of it. It weighs close to 60 pounds and takes up a large section of the counter but man all that it can do. Microwave, convection oven, and air fryer. Was very easy to set up and easy to clean. Highly recommend.

I actually returned this. The instructions were well lets just say there weren't any. Defrost works good. Air fry is actually just baked. That was what I wanted it for was to get my air fryer off the counter. But really the instructions are seriously lacking for $450 they should be able to provide something much better. Love the soft close.

Beautiful Piece Reheats, cooks, and airfrys like a charm

This is my second Breville microwave, the first lasted over ten years. This one has some new features that the old one did not. For the technologically challenged, there are a couple of videos as well as an extensive instruction manual to learn how to use it. We use this and a gas range for all of our cooking. I think its an excellent product.

Air fryer is very fast compared to my previous convection microwave. Love the dials and the soft close door.

Great microwave! It takes awhile to learn the best settings for your favorite foods, but having the toaster oven type options is better than a standard microwave.

I bought the combi- whatever almost a year ago and have loved it as a microwave/ plate warming oven the whole time. Tonight I decided to try the air fryer option for the first time. Ugh - what a joke. I pounded the chicken breasts thin, as directed, and placed them in for what was supposed to be 6 minutes per side, according to the recipe. I’m now going on over 45 minutes minutes and the tepid hair-dryer level heat of the “450°” “air fryer” is just not doing it. I may have to take these chix breasts out and finish them on the range. :-/

Worth every penny. We have been using for two years and have had no problems

Spent $500 on this thing and it lasted just over 2 years. I created a support case on Breville's website and they never responded. I liked it when it worked. You can adjust time and power on the fly with the dials. The other functions weren't that great. Takes forever to preheat. If you really want a Breville microwave, skip this one and get the one for half the price. Don't be surprised if it dies and Breville ignores you. Parts are not easy to find.
