    I actually returned this. The instructions were well lets just say there weren't any. Defrost works good. Air fry is actually just baked. That was what I wanted it for was to get my air fryer off the counter. But really the instructions are seriously lacking for $450 they should be able to provide something much better. Love the soft close.

    This is my second Breville microwave, the first lasted over ten years. This one has some new features that the old one did not. For the technologically challenged, there are a couple of videos as well as an extensive instruction manual to learn how to use it. We use this and a gas range for all of our cooking. I think its an excellent product.

    It’s a hair dryer

    I bought the combi- whatever almost a year ago and have loved it as a microwave/ plate warming oven the whole time. Tonight I decided to try the air fryer option for the first time. Ugh - what a joke. I pounded the chicken breasts thin, as directed, and placed them in for what was supposed to be 6 minutes per side, according to the recipe. I’m now going on over 45 minutes minutes and the tepid hair-dryer level heat of the “450°” “air fryer” is just not doing it. I may have to take these chix breasts out and finish them on the range. :-/

    Great microwave! It takes awhile to learn the best settings for your favorite foods, but having the toaster oven type options is better than a standard microwave.

    Spent $500 on this thing and it lasted just over 2 years. I created a support case on Breville's website and they never responded. I liked it when it worked. You can adjust time and power on the fly with the dials. The other functions weren't that great. Takes forever to preheat. If you really want a Breville microwave, skip this one and get the one for half the price. Don't be surprised if it dies and Breville ignores you. Parts are not easy to find.

    I left this review on the Breville website but they rejected it, so I'll put it here. Which also really disappointing that they don't want honest feedback. "My wife and I received this as a gift expecting to consolidate our from 3 appliances to 1. We delayed in setting it up and now Best Buy will not accept a return. Do not purchase this microwave combo. For the price point, this should be a wonderful addition to the kitchen but they microwave doesn't even work properly. It heats food unevenly and doesn't even perform to what a bargain microwave would. The airfryer and the toaster oven are extremely inefficient, just use your oven. We now have a $500 hunk of metal that we don't want to use." I hate to say this because it is such a nice looking microwave combo and I want it to be great but it just isn't. I heated up a frittata this morning in the microwave (for like 3 or 4 mins) and the plate was scorching hot, the sides of the frittata were sizzling but the center was about as cold as it was when I took it out of the fridge.

    I picked this up August 23, 2020. I used it for a microwave only, but bought it to have an additional oven. I used as an oven once and it worked great. Within a month I tried it again. It didn't heat. I thought it was my error but tried it multiple times and although it says it's preheated, it's ice cold. Absolutely not worth the money. For the size, I should have paid $100, not over $400. It's out of the return window but still under warranty. I notified the company and they are shipping a new one after I send this one back.

    Controls stopped working after a year

    Worked for just over a year and then the control panel went out. Wasted time with Breville's customer support for them to let me know that they don't sell parts for it and the best they can do is give me 25% off another Breville product. Shipping it to them and paying their tech to fix it would likely cost more than we orignally paid for it. No thanks.

    I can't believe I spent around $500USD

    I bought in in 2021 and only lasted 2 years. First food was not hot enough when I microwaved it, i had to set timer for 3 minutes to get hot. Then it took long time for food to get cooked. And lastly it completely stop working, the buttons stopped responding and the dial too. Now this almost $500 appliance has to go to the garbage. And of course I contacted customer service and there was no help, for a technician to take a look was around 250usd. No way i am wasting money for the machine to work again. I know one thing for sure that never again Breville!

    Bought this item months ago and were enjoying until it started randomly shutting off completely while plugged in. Seems like a wiring issue. Disappointed!

    Failed after 2.5 years - expensive paperweight.

    Worked great while it worked. Lasted about 2.5 years and then threw an error code and stopped working. Called Breville and they offered a 30% off a new unit or to have it shipped in and for me to pay to fix it. I understand that the warranty is only 1 year, but when paying for a high end microwave I expect to it last more than 2.5 years.
