This review is for the Breville Smart Over Pro. We bought this to replace our 20-year old Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Broiler, which was worn out. The Breville toaster oven is well built. The controls are easy to understand and use. The spring on the door is strong. If you let go when you are closing it, it will slam shut. Magnets on the door will pull out the grate, if the grate is in the middle position. There are three positions possible with the grate - high, middle, and low. You use the middle position for toast. Many people complain about the toasting time. Well, that is the trade-off with a device that serves two functions, both a toaster and an oven. The bread is necessarily farther from the heating elements in a toaster oven than it would be in a toaster, which only does one thing. Toasters only toast. Toaster ovens need more space in order to also be ovens. I use a dense, whole wheat bread for breakfast. It takes 6.5 minutes to lightly toast it in the Breville. In my Cuisinart toaster it only takes 4 minutes. When making toast, the oven light will come on when there are 30 seconds left in the toasting cycle. You can see the toast on the inside of the machine. If it is too light, you can turn the bottom dial clockwise to add more time (by the second). This is a welcome function. You don't have to wait for the cycle to finish. The crumb tray is accessible from the front of the machine. It includes a twelve-inch square baking pan with a broiler insert. It also includes a 13-inch round pizza pan. The oven has a curved extension in the back to accommodate the pizza pan. The Breville Smart Oven Pro is a worthy replacement for our excellent Cuisinart toaster over. You will enjoy using it. The Breville Smart Oven Pro is

The IQ heating elements really work. They decrease and increase intensity rather that just cycle on and off. I noticed right away that my chicken was more tender and more evenly browned that with my old oven. The controls are easy to use and I like that my last used setting stays in memory. I also like that I can adjust the time and/or temp during pre-heat or during cooking too without turning the over off first. My favorite feature? The center rack is magnetic so it slides out slightly when you open the door!. I like having an interior light too. Great well-built oven and highly recommended!

Breville Smart Oven Pro cooks very evenly and does not take up much space. It is well made, easy to use, has several preset functions, and is nice and sturdy. Overall a quality product that's worth your money.

We've had this now for a couple of months. I only mention this to say that I can't vouch for longer term reliability. That said, this is a very nice toaster/oven. It's larger than the Cuisinart it replaced, but it's still a good size for our counter, and because it's larger is far more versatile. I appreciate the light inside the oven. We haven't tried the convection feature yet, but if it works that will also be nice to have. I like the ability to choose between bake and roast. The toast comes out perfect and the ability to choose the number of slices and the darkness level is good to have (though we ditched the Cuisinart after it passed its useful life and couldn't toast well at all, so not a fair comparison.) We haven't tried the other functions, such as bagels, cookies, reheat, so can't say anything either way. The controls are fairly intuitive, and I guess I'd say this is easy to use with all the bells and whistles it has. The magnetic rack auto eject is a nice touch. The Breville has a warming feature. Our last house had a warming oven, which we miss. So, given the larger size of this oven versus a normal toaster/oven, this will be really useful when doing several things in our full size oven. I'm sure there must be some negatives, but I can't come up with any right now.

Just opened it on Christmas Day, but followed first time user instructions and started using it for several side dishes for dinner. Very user friendly fool proof instructions.Food tasted just like the big oven. Using small and med. LeCreuset bakeware, which fits perfectly. Also warmed up some appetizers which were much better than using microwave. So, after only using it this one day...I love it and would have liked to have had it a long time ago. We'll see if it continues to perform without issue down the road. I expect it will but some reviews have not been very good.Follow the instructions and all should be fine. Can't wait to try other things !

I recently bought this and have since used it for the following - toasting bread slices and bagels, reheating roasted veggies, and reheating pizza. The biggest difference (compared to my previous 30$ toaster oven) is the "uniformity". Previously, the bread/bagels/etc. were always toasted in an uneven manner - more brown in regions closer to the element. Not so with this one. All regions are equally heated/toasted. It's easy to use - I didn't even read the manual. Some reviews mention oven is too loud, light is too bright, beeping it too loud, and light remains ON for too long. I don't think it is loud (in fact it's pretty quiet) and the others don't bother me. I put greater weight into "whether or not the product does what it's supposed to, and if so how well does it do it" compared to other characteristics. The body does get hot when operational (as expected), so don't keep plastic stuff nearby. Also, it looks really good on the counter top. It's worth the price. No regrets..

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. It’s quickly become one of the most versatile and reliable appliances in my kitchen. What really stands out is the flexibility. With 13 pre-programmed cooking functions, it handles everything from air frying and roasting to dehydrating and baking with ease. The super convection feature makes a noticeable difference: food comes out consistently crispy and evenly cooked, especially when air-frying. Overall, this oven is powerful, intuitive, and extremely versatile. If you’re looking for a high-quality countertop oven that can replace multiple appliances, this is an excellent choice.

I didn’t think that there were that many differences between toaster ovens, but I was wrong! I bought one from Kitchen Aid, it lasted 10 days, I just stopped working, no heat. I replaced it with the Breville and oh my, I just love it! Size, quality, features, even little things like the magnet on the door that pulls out your pizza pan. This oven was twice as expensive as my first one, but worth the money, I have no regrets!

My oven was having problems and deciding on trying a smaller over that would take less space and heat up faster. Too my surprise food came out great, The oven does get extremely hot if you touch the oven which is expected so have to be careful.

I bought this oven after some research, as the reviews I read said it was worth the somewhat lofty price for a countertop oven. I was replacing a smaller toaster/convection oven that had worn out. Wow! We very rarely use the big oven any longer! The quality and performance made this a bargain! From baking to reheating to toasting; everything we cook in this oven is perfection. Add to that the ease of operation and ease to clean! I have used it daily for several months before reviewing. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect toaster oven for a small kitchen, or a small family. I use this at least once a day. I have baked brownies, casseroles, biscuits, pizza and more. A light comes on when there is 30 seconds left on the timer which is great when toasting. Convection setting isn’t loud like some counter top ovens. I just purchased my second one. The first one I had for 7-8 years. My family of 3 used it multiple times a day, so when it stopped working, I got another one that day.

It took me forever to convince myself to pay this much for a toaster over, but I have been living for years with just a microwave and hot plate. I'm glad I took a chance. What I missed most about having an oven was for baking goodies like cakes and pies. This works great for that! I learned though not to use convection for everything. But I loved the convection when baking several batches of ratatouille. Tops were browned as well as bottoms. For my apartment, this is the right size, but I almost wish I would have gotten the larger model (so I can cook more at once). The instructions are great, but they do help (especially pan placement). I seen some reviews where people complained that this was loud, but I don't know what they are talking about--yes, with the convection turned on, there is a fan that's blowing, but it's not loud at all (I was expecting Jets overhead kind of loudness from those reviews). I've only had this a few weeks, but have made pies, turnovers, all sorts of vegetable dishes, and cookies. I have yet to do anything with meat or pizza. While I like those presets, I feel like have more control just using the bake setting. I'm completely happy I bought it!

My Breville Smart Oven is the best countertop oven I have ever purchased. I have been buying “toaster ovens” for over 50 years and finally found the perfect match for my kitchen. It is a very well made, multipurpose, and easy to clean smart countertop oven. I use it multiple times every day for toasting, cooking, baking, and reheating instead of my big oven. It heats up quicker and automatically turns of after cooking the meal. Well worth the purchase price!

I am very satisfied with this oven. I primarily bought it to have a more energy-efficient oven for daily use. The bonuses are that it can do so many other things, from toast (need to experiment to get the result you want; for example, I use the 2 pieces and dark setting for one piece of bread to be toasted to my liking). I've been very pleased with using the Air Fryer setting for roasting vegetables. I prefer the convection setting and also to be able to switch from Fahrenheit to Celcius (as I'm used to metric). It heats and cools down quickly and doesn't produce much extraneous heat produced.

    Replacement for Range Oven

This Breville convection oven is very easy to use. The dials and cooking options are user friendly. I've used heat settings up to 450 degrees, and the oven has handled that with no problem. This oven has replaced my range oven. One important item to note: When the oven is in use, it needs sufficient space on all sides. I have limited counter space, so I store the oven in a corner of my counter, and I pull it out when I use it so it will have the external space it needs. The oven is large, but it is still light enough and of dimensions that I can carefully pick it up and move it when cleaning the counters. I bought this Breville convection oven because I wanted to do more cooking, and I dislike using the range oven because it makes the kitchen hot. The oven gets hot on the outside but does not heat the kitchen. This oven has been perfect for my needs.

Family of 5 (and a mother in law who frequently comes to dinner). We have double wall ovens but this still gets a ton of use. It’s quick and easy to use for a batch of brownies, dinner rolls, cookies, homemade pizzas, etc. The toast feature takes a little longer but does so much better than a $50-60 toaster. The air fryer is ok but honestly we have a deep fryer and overall are not a fan of air fryers. It’s still nice the kids can use it to make themselves a quick lunch or heat something up. It’s a good air fryer…not a great one but again, we don’t care that much since we prefer deep frying.

We had another major brand flip up model and really loved it but at 2 years the upper element went out so we bought another one but when we got it home the upper element didn't work at all so we took it back and bought this one. If one of your main uses for it will be making toast I would not purchase this unit, the elements are so far away for the toast it takes forever and dries out the toast too much, but for every other feature the large size and easy to use controls make it an excellent choice, it even a bread proofer setting which is great. And customer service with this company is great. At 25 days ours developed a malfunction after calling their 800 number and doing some over the phone trouble shooting they said that it needed to be sent back for warranty repairs, within a few days I received a box and packing materials to send it back, dropped it off at UPS and got an email the other day saying the repair had been made and it was on its why back (all in less that 3 weeks) so they don't work off of a back log of repairs (says something good about their product

This oven is great in function and style! Super easy to use. I've never been a great cook or felt comfortable in the kitchen since I didn't grow up with the knowledge. But this oven makes it fun and easy! So far I baked a pumpkin pie that came out to perfection - evenly cooked throughout. My first ever this past holiday season. I've been dabbling with other recipes such as homemade pizza, cookies, muffins, cakes, baked chicken, and salmon. All of which come out very tasty! I'm having loads of fun with this oven. I never would have thought I would enjoy being in the kitchen and consider myself competent in there. The preprogrammed settings are very helpful! Clean-up is fast and easy. The downside of all this is now I have to burn-up more calories in my exercise program!
