From reading other reviews this has happened to others and of course it is not under warranty anymore. Very frustrating.

Wouldn’t recommend spending the extra $ to purchase anything from Breville. Shopping for a new toaster over after spending $350.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this to replace a broken microwave. it sits in an open cabinet of built-ins that was designed for the microwave. I am inches shorter than either machine but had no problem with the microwave. The Breville oven can only be read at eye level or above...so I have to stand on a step stool to read the screen. It belongs on a counter if you are 5' tall or less. I miss having a microwave even though I never cooked in it. This oven works well but it has to heat up before use, so the speed advantage of a microwave is missed. This is probably a quality machine but it is absurd to need a ladder to use it. For me, a complete waste of money.
