It's been a while since I sat back and watched a good movie. While not action packed the story carried you through. sat down and watched it again with the family.

While maybe not as great as some other films from Spielberg, this is a return to form for the mega-talented director. A strong cast, fascinating setting and time period and solid writing (from none other than the Cohen Brothers) make this an easy purchase, worth watching numerous times.

Another winner from Steven Spielberg . Great story line, beautiful cinematography and very good acting from Tom Hanks. On the negative side , I thought the movie was rushed a little.

Generally I like my movies a little less grounded in gritty reality (Avengers again please!), but my wife wanted to see this movie and I agreed. Kept me engaged for the full run time and would happily watch it again. It's no Firefox, but definitely my second favorite cold war movie ;-)

Based on real historical occurrences, Tom Hanks did a great job portraying a true patriot who successfully negotiated the release of prisoners during the cold war on behalf of the US.

This movie is an excellent spy drama- Of course there is tom Hanks who is superb in this- the movie has intrigue, adventure, double cross and humor. Definitely BUY this!!

True story about the cold war era of spies and secrets. Tom Hanks is perfect in this role as the lawyer who bargains to get our people returned during a time of mistrust on both sides

Movie was a four star for me. Acting was excellent of course it received a Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and Tom Hanks was excellent in his role as the lawyer. The movie did drag in the middle and that's why it's a four star. But, it's a great movie to watch in your own living room.

I'm a big Tom Hanks fan and a movie fan of any Cold War-themed movies. The acting in this was done superbly, especially the performance by Mark Rylance who plays Rudolf Abel.

Great movie! Tom Hanks makes you believe the story! Have watched this movie at least once a month! Would recommend.

I saw this in the theater and knew I had to have a copy. It was great to learn about the background behind this movie for the pilot, the spy, and the attorny that were involved.

I love this movie, i watch a documentary of how the coin was found that led to catching this spy. Very interesting. I never regretted buying the movie.

This film was a surprise. I went in without knowledge except for the basic story and cast. All cast members pull their weight and Spielberg directs another fantastic film. The tension of the Cold War really plays into the film especially the final scenes. Definitely recommended!

Excellent suspense filled drama! True to the events of the time. The movie recreates history in a captivating way. Emotional impact on world events that ring true even today...

Good movie,but ....is it a great movie??...no! Rental shelves were empty, so decided to just go spend the extra $ and own it instead.....now wished I would of waited!!

Tom Hanks does it again. Another great movie full of cloak and dagger Suspense. And a true story to boot. Does Hanks ever mess up a leading role, I think not. A must see movie!

Can you ever go wrong with a Hanks & Spielberg production?? No these 2 once again have created an excellent film, A film to watch over & over just for the historical value!!!

Tom Hanks' performance was stellar as always . Cinematography was great and the story kept me interested the entire time, Spielberg did an outstanding directing.
