This is a great movie, and one of the best from Tom Hanks. Hard to find good movies these days, and if you like Cold War history, this is a top pick in my opinion.

It was very well produced. They captured the early "cold war" era perfectly. I hope many others get to buy and watch this movie. It is a part of true American history.

Taut thriller, intriguing. Great performances. Love Hanks in this true story but the supporting actor, Mark Rylance, is even better. A breakout role.

Very interesting little known true story about a potential prisoner swap with Russia during the cold war era .The blu ray has an excellent transfer .

A great little slice of history showing what someone who cares about people and has a well developed gift of gab can do. No guns necessary. Very good!

Back to the Cold War, but with intelligence and class. And Mark Rylance makes a triumphant leap from stage to big screen (though he'll surely still do plays as well).

Tom Hanks was outstanding. I had totally forgotten about this incident and the ramifications of this incident. Knew very little about the character played by Mr. Hanks.

Well written and acted. Long movie, but it draws the audience in so that you don't realize that it is over 2 hours in length. The extra documentaries were fascinating.

Bridge of Spies is a wonderful story. Acting by Tom Hanks, superb. That said: some movies deserve to be owned (others, streaming is fine). Bridge of Spies is a keeper.

I enjoyed the movie having lived through the Berlin Wall being built and the capture of Gary Powers. The other part of the story I did not know and learned something.

As always, I liked the lead actor and that was probably my main reason for purchase. That being said, the movie was good and worth watching but I just can't imagine watching it again in the next 12 months...kind of like his gangster movie (road to perdition).

I would recommend this to any one who is a war movie buff. It brought another side of personal sacrifice that most people may not think of. Great team of actors too!

It so so easy to get wrapped up in Tom Hanks' character, it almost feels like you are there with him. The movie is mesmerizing and we have watched it several times!

I really liked this one, but war/spy movies always draw me in. Tom Hanks is good, but the person playing the Soviet spy won the Oscar and he absolutely deserved it.

Nice work and story placed in the Cold War era. Even though some of the action did not actually occur, the culture surrounding the time frame is reflected in the movie. Due keep in mind the bias of the producers, directors and actors.

This is a movie about the “Cold War” and the capture of U2 pilot Francis Gary Powers by Russia. Interesting story, Tom Hanks does a great job.

Just a great story and movie. Based on true events, no blood and gut movie, but will hold your attention to the very end. A movie I can watch over again and again.

"Bridge of Spies" is a pretty good cold war thriller from Steven Spielberg. Atmospheric, well acted -- especially from Best Supporting Actor Mark Rylance -- with a real feel for the time period. If not one of Spielberg's great films, it's still a fine time.

I'm probably a bit biased, as Tom Hanks is my favorite actor and I find Spielberg to be one of the greatest, but this film is just fantastic. Great history piece!
