This is an excellent spy movie that is real! Suspenseful and well acted. Loved the black and white scenes in East Berlin depicting the hopelessness of its citizens living behind the Iron curtin and Russian oppression. Felt sorry for Russian spy as he went back to his homeland.

This movie, like many great spielberg films, provides engaging insights and levity to an otherwise harrowing circumstance. Hanks' performance is conventional, but the role suits him just fine, as if he were born in the wrong era. Definately one of the better films of the year.

Great movie. Only complaint was when I opened the case there was no digital copy slip in it. Was able to get that corrected with Disney, but it took 2 months and a few phone calls and a lot of emails.

My favorite film of Steven Spielberg's this decade is now available at a discount at Best Buy, and I encourage you to take advantage of this deal. The special features are pretty standard, but the picture quality cleans up some of the film grain I remember noticing when I saw this film at the theater. (At least it was cleaner on an HDTV on Blu-ray.) Check this one out.

I am NOT a fan of SS or TH, as people, AT ALL, but dam do they make great cinema, together. For me, it is the writing of the Coen Bros. and the subdued and great acting of Mark Rylance that invites me to watch.

This gripping true story kept me glued to the screen throughout. Tom Hanks is great, and Mark Rylance didn't win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for nothing...he is fantastic. If you're a little shaky on your Cold War history and want to learn more, this is a must see.

Fantastic story..when I first saw the trailer, I thought this would be a slow moving picture. Read the good reviews, so I thought I would give it a shot. Boy, was I wrong. Holds your interest throughout..great acting. Hanks and Spielberg do it again. Highly recommended

The Bridge of Spies stayed true to the essence of history. Without spoiling the movie it altered/wasn't clear on the timeline of some of the details. It sparked a very good conversation regarding the Constitution between my wife and I. Either way, not a movie to miss.

I grew up during the "Cold War" era. A lot of the names in this movie I heard about in the news as a child. Watching this movie put all the pieces together with what happened when the American U2 plane was shot down over Russia. Well acted, good fast paced movie.

This is a very engaging story,about a period in history that we have very little ensight into as well as facts, Tom Hanks brings this to life for us,to say he is a great actor,is a understatement. He brings the character to life and consequently the story.

Speilberg directs this excellent film and makes every frame count! You really feel like you're in Berlin and every scene is filled with incredible detail. Hanks is amazing in this role, and the overall story pulls you in. Highly recommended!

Bridge of Spies is a great Cold War espionage film. Steven Spielberg once again proves that he can put people in seats and wowes his audience. Tom Hanks in his lead role was a remarkable performance all due to great writing by Matt Charman and the Coen Brothers.

A good account of the history surrounding the U2 spy plane shot down over the USSR in 1960 and the negotiations to exchange the pilot Gary Francis Powers with a Soviet spy held in the US. A well crafted movie from Spielberg. Top rate Blu-Ray video and audio.

When I watched this movie at the theater I told myself, I would buy this on blu-ray before the movie was even over. Tom does a great job and seeing the start of the Berlin wall go up and the blight the East German people had to go through was eye opening.

I love movies based on historic fact. I was a young kid when this happened, but it was interesting seeing some of the story behind the story that most people probably never knew. I'm glad the Cold War is over, but it is interesting studying the details.

This is an amazing movie! Fantastic choice of actors, great story line that kept me interested the entire film and fantastic production value. Tom Hanks, as usual, is brilliant! It can be a lot of small children; however, I highly recommend to anyone!

I enjoy movies that are rich in history and authenticity. This movie (in typical Spielberg fashion) had everything and i loved it. The behind the scenes and documentaries surrounding the event transport you to cold war era and places you in the story.

Bridge of Spies was a great movie! Tom Hanks character was but in a precarious situation in having to defend a Russian spy. Tom Hanks character fought for his client vigorously even at the expense of his family's safety! This is a must see movie!

This movie had so much to offer in a history lesson. Growing up when this happened, all I heard about was the spy plane being shot down and Gray Powers being captured. This shed so much light on all that was done to get him released. A great movie.

It is truly one of my most favorite Tom Hanks movies (and he’s obviously done quite a few great ones. Mark Rylance is superb with a performance not to be missed!
