This movie was pretty good but there are some scenes that are a little on the dry side. Do yourself a favor and watch it during the day wide awake, I do not recommend watching this one late at night. The movie itself is great just slow in parts.

A true story that sticks closely to the the actual facts. Yes, they take a few liberties, but nothing that distorts what really happened. And though you know (or should know) how it ends, it maintains a tension and sense of suspense throughout.

Great movie! You will love this movie as it unfolds to something morally beautiful The Standing Man should have been the Title of this true story. Yes. The Standing Man, you don't always know who a person is until they are tested.

Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance are very good in this Cold War movie about the U2 incident. Most of the movie is factual but some is pure Hollywood. I recommend this movie to anyone interested about the U2 incident, Gary Powers, or James Donovan.

This is an excellent dramatization of a real event. It follows the actual circumstances quite well with little enhancement by the writers. Tom Hanks gives an excellent portrayal of his character and M. Rylance won an Oscar for his portrayal.

Interesting to learn about actual events in history. Mark Rylance stole every scene he was in with Tom Hanks. He deserved the Supporting Actor Oscar. Good movie. The Blu Ray offered a digital and regular dvd copy in addition to the Blu Ray.

Since we were old enough to remember the Gary Powers plane being shot down by Russia, this movie was of special interest to us. It would be good for young people to see to help them understand what we were dealing with during the Cold War.

I like Tom Hanks in almost anything and this was no exception. He brings balance and believability to the role. The cold war has been over for over 25+ years and this story line brings back the news of the days when I was in my 30's. Great film and a nice break from all the techno (which I like also) and the current fight scenes that prevail in most movies.

“Bridge of Spies” is an excellent film directed by Steven Spielberg starring Tom Hanks. It tells the story of American-hero James B. Donovan. Something I lived thru as a kid and never really knew the true story. Highly Recommend!

Based on a true story which (for some viewers at least, like me) lives in memory. The film and the staging and the acting capture exceedingly well the mood of the times. It relates an important episode during the Cold War.

Love spy movies and Tom Hanks, so what better than both? The combo of DVD, Blue Ray and Digital copy allows to take it and watch it anywhere, so it was a great buy.

Love the movie. Nice to see more things coming to Blu-ray . A must have for any fan. The digital copy is also a nice addition.

This is among my all-time favorite Tom Hanks movie. Mark Rylance was outstanding. The film was beautiful shot and portrayed. I highly recommend this movie.

The movie Bridge of Spies was purchased based on a fondness for Tom Hanks movies, but with little knowledge of the subject matter than about spies. I was surprised to learn it was about real life events, and a man's skill of negotiation, persuasion and even stubbornness to do what was right, even if it may cost him personally.

Tom Hanks exemplifies why he is one of our best Actors. Story is okay, but Hank’s is a must watch performance. He brings depth, empathy and intelligence to his portrayal.

This movie looked so good when the reviews came out. I was too sick at the time to see it with my dad so I got it for him when it finally came out. The story line looked very intriguing. Great pick if I do say so myself!

Tom Hanks does a super job in his role. The person who plays the Spy being represented by Tom Hanks as an attorney, has a unique personality. We went to the movie in the theater and decided we needed to own it.

In a dramatic thriller inspired by true events, Tom Hanks stars as James Donovan, a Brooklyn lawyer thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on a near impossible mission to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. Hard to go wrong with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg and we were not disappointed.
