My coffee grinder and moka pot are Brim and dont feel cheap at all so I didnt expect this one to be so light and thin. A french press doesnt do much so this one does well functionally. The filter fits well with the glass so that doesnt feel like its going anywhere when pouring. It looks nice just as it does in the pictures. The pressing mechanism is light and small. This wont affect your functionality, but if they were heavier I wouldnt feel like I have to be so careful while washing. Also the pressing mechanism on the bodum press was larger, so it would sit upside down while weighing coffee or pouring which was convenient. In the end, the pieces that didnt break on my old press fit on this one so I get the best of both worlds. A nice looking functional press, with a heavy lid and larger press plunger. Its the little things ya know.

Great French Press With Poor Instructions

I couldn't get a good cup of coffee from it until I watched James Hoffman's recipe on YouTube. Now I love it but be warned, there are fat better recipes out there than what came in the box.
