Overall very good scanner. Very compact size, wish it was little smaller but doesn't take up much desk space. Scans very fast even duplex tabloid size paper. Lots of features and uploads to Dropbox and Evernote without issue. Highly recommend.

This scanner was so easy to install. It works perfectly and is extremely fast. We use it for our businesses and have not had any issues. Probably going to purchase another one soon!

I was most impressed with the speed it scans. Probably 2 seconds max per page. Way easy to set up and veery portable in my opinion I would buy 10 more of these if needed...Ha

Better than expected. Easy to operate good copies. Unit can make copies from the front and back of the document Easy to transfer the copies to the email and files.

We purchased this scanner to be used to scan receipts, invoices, etc. Our hope was that we could eliminate the filing of all that paper. Scanner works great. Were quick. Excellent quality images. Easy setup. Work well with Mac OSX.

We have had great luck with our scanner. We chose this one for price and auto-feed. It is super easy to use! The display allowed us to hook up to our wireless, and by connecting to our email address we are able to scan and automatically email PDFs to whatever email address we want (there are other ways to use it, too, we just like email). It scans fairly quickly, although it is noticeably faster on black and white than it is on color, as you would expect. We have only had trouble with the auto-feed when we overloaded it.

The software for organizing folders (where you can put receipts into specific categories you determine) is very limited. Hard to organize items. You must self-learn through experimentation how to set categories, re-organize them if you chose and add/delete non appropriate vendors, categories for a specific folder. Also, the reports format is not changeable. They come pre-set with large data about the user and you cannot add or change fields in specific reports. For me this was a very big disappointment. As to the machine itself, I really like it...again my main disappointment is with the software. I called Brother Support and was told that part of their software package (OCR) comes from a different vendor and if I needed help I would have to go to them. For a casual user and one who is not needing detailed and customizable reports...this is a very nice unit. Otherwise, I would find it hard to recommend to others.

I was set on the Neat scanner but found this for about half the price. It's smaller and does everything I need.

I would like to review this a little further down the road as well, but so far it is great. I love the double sided scan feature, and it scans quickly enough for me. Way faster than my all-in-one printer/scanner. I am happy with this purchase. I even set it up without needing the manual! I ran into a small snag when setting up the POP email feature that was not addressed in the manual. I was able to find a solution in an online blog.

Very easy to setup and use. Scans great with good color. Originally bought a IRIscan which ended up being a paperweight. We cold never get the software to work properly. My only complaint is that we scanned one sided documents and the scanner is a two sided scanner so it inserted a blank page into the pdf file. I would assume there is a setting that can change this but so far I have not found it.

This scanner is fast and what you scan looks really nice. However, if I put multiple documents in the auto feed they jam up if you don't keep your hand on the documents to keep them straight. They seem to get out of alignment after a couple documents go through and jam up. Good scanner for the money though. I'm satisfied with it overall.

This item I can use when teaching outside of the office. It does not require a power source, so you can use it virtually anywhere. High quality scans fairly quick. Download drivers and then it is very simple to use. Like it a lot better than using the scanner on my printer. You have to feed the pages one at a time, but the next model up was 120 dollars more.

The quality of the scans on this was great. I used it mainly for business card compilation. Unfortunately, the software provided missed a LOT when translating and you have to do a good amount of work to clean it up. Maybe this scanner with different software is the answer....

This is an amazing product. Double sided.. can scan to my USB, to google drive or to my computer.. very portable!

This is the second scanner I got for my office. Has small footprint, is very simple to setup and use, and scans quickly and easily. Doesn't jam as long as you're careful, and the "Control Center" software makes it even easier to use - almost foolproof. Definitely worth the little extra cost.

For some time I was lookin to buy an scanner but was put off by the price, the Brother ADS-1500 was at my range and had good reviews, I am not expert in intalling iT equipment but had no problem in doing this. You just have to read and follow the instructions from the manual.
