Won't auto attach to a new email

My basic, slow canon scanner can do this but not this fancy guy?!? I'm returning this.

Compact Design and Great Functionality

Only took a few minutes and its great to have the ability to connect it to the network wirelessly. The unit has a nice touch screen to use and the iOS application is easy to use and set up as well. The speed and quality of the scans are great and the options provided to scan are very useful. Overall a good scanner for the price.
