Went into Best Buy looking to speak to someone who might be able to recommend a option to connect my phone to my car wirelessly- they recommended this product and I happily connected it. Yes it works. And I’ve had some good connections. But it’s dependent on a radio station and so you hear this constant ‘fuzz’ in the background so sound is not always clear if your moving within a city/on a trip through radio stations. Like most people I did not keep the manual after I read it and had everything working but it’s so not user friendly- I would’ve bought one for my mom & dad for their cars but it’s small buttons, nothing makes logical sense, it’s not user friendly at all- spent a frustrating hour trying to reconnect it today as I guess a passenger pressed a button while charging their phone and I can’t figure out how to get it back! Def would never recommend this product!!! Why Best Buy would carry this makes zero sense as I returned the other Best Buy recommended option just before I bought this one (on the same day!)

The electrical plug of this product has a metal pin held in place with a plastic collar. I have purchased this product twice and in both cases the plastic collar has unthreaded itself inside the cigarette lighter causing the metal pin to become disconnected from the plug and the product to no longer receive power and ultimately function. When the plastic collar falls off, you might also lose the spring and fuse. If you can find all the pieces (I lost the metal pin) it is easy to assemble again, although inconvenient. Somehow with the second transmitter I purchased, the metal pin has become stuck inside one of my vehicle's cigarette lighters after the plastic collar came off again. I have tried using needle nose pliers to remove the pin but to no avail. I might need to replace the cigarette lighter now. Also when I charge my phone through this device the sound quality is degraded (a distinct static buzzing noise).

My second just broke because whenever I leave my car and come back I have to pull it out of my lighter jack and put it back in for it to connect it my phone. Every time I have to do this and then the entire bottom part of it will fall apart. Doing so has even broken my lighter jack from pulling it out and pushing it back in. It’s not made to be removed and put back over and over again so will it never work when I leave it in?? And trying to fix it is impossible because the one important part at the end will never stay in the device so it can connect properly.
