Bought this to enable my laptop to be backed up wirelessly via time machine. Setup was easy and works like a charm.

It does what it says it will... It's a little tricky to get set up but once you do, it performs as described... I'm using it for a home Cloud/Storage center & for the price, well worth it...

I really liked this drive. I like how you can enable SSH on it, but ultimately I decided it was wise for me to return it due to the cost/benefit ratio of the use I had for it.

Easy to set as a network drive, I do not need any cloud access so I have not tried that feature. The reason for 3 stars is that the drive is very slow even though it has a Gig network it still takes a long time to move files between computers and the drive.

I am storing tons of data and still haven't run out of space. It's been about 2 years so I am happy with my purchase.

The UI is terrible. You are better off getting a different product.

Very Quiet Operation

Seems to work OK with Windows XP, but has a long time to connect and slow processing with Windows10. That may be a Win10 issue. The drive really runs quiet which is a big improvement over the last Buffalo drive I bought. Haven't tried (and won't use) the cloud backup feature as the drive will have company information/designs on it.
There's an annoying "trashbox" feature which should be set off by default. These drives are for backup mostly, but each time you copy a latest version of some file to it, the drive doesn't over write the old one, it saves it in the "trashbox". After some time, 1/3 of the drive space is used up.

I had a Seagate network drive that was dying. I was torn between a WD drive and this as a replacement. After reading the comments about setting up WD drives I went with this. It was easy to set up and has been working fine. Windows had troubles with the Seagate drive when referencing recent files. I've had no troubles with this drive. I set up backups with Carbonite and they've been working fine.
