Multiple hardware failures, on a premium product.

Since then I've experienced nothing but continual hardware issues. The a faux leather pads immediately stained just from normal body oil and I have had to replace then with 3rd party pads since. Since then the telescoping band had a mechanical failure and now the left side doesn't stay in place. I called Sony support and was informed that the warranty doesn't cover hardware issues only issues with the speaker battery software etc. I am a mechanical product designer and understand how and why this failed and the engineering decisions that were made should not have been made. I would highly recommend against purchasing these headphones especially if you have a larger head. if you continually extend the stems fully you will dislodge the backstop and the stem will fail. It's really sad to see from a company that has made so many good products with incredible hardware engineering, release a product that has so many reliability oversights in the name of design. This is the last pair of Sonny headphones that I'm going to buy, and I would advise others to do the same. The fact that these failures made it through product approval, and that Sony's business practices don't cover hardware failures under warranty is mind boggling to me.

Big issue was BestBuy Customer Service

That's just a personal thing. It took me two weeks and 3 days to figure that out. Put me just outside the insanely short two week return window. Seems everyone else provides 30 days. Anyway, BestBuy wouldnt budge. Im stuck trying to dump them on Ebay for a loss. I tore up my Bestbuy CC.

The headphones themselves don’t breathe well so I felt like my head was cooking when I had them on. The noise cancellation was good, but not the best and for the price I expected a lot more. I returned them after two days.
