Excellent upgrade , even if coming from a the XM5s. I use these all day at the office for Teams and Zoom calls and the battery life is great! The sound quality is excellent. My coworkers mentioned I sounded robotic when I walked away downstairs to the kitchen, about 40+ feet away, which is expected. But I was still connected and could hear them fine. When I'm within the appropriate BT range, I have zero issues with them. The noise cancellation is 2nd to none! One minor complaint, be careful when removing them from the carry case and unfolding them. When I first opened them, I got pinched on the finger and it's a pretty sharp pinch. I am glad they fold again, as the carry case is smaller. I also use them with an External DAC for Qobuz FLAC audio. I have a Dense Audio DAC and they sound even better when using that 3.5mm hard wired cable to the DAC.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 are the best ANC headphones I’ve used, great sound, top-tier noise cancellation, excellent call quality, and solid 30-hour battery life. They’re comfortable, foldable, and packed with smart features. Pricey, but worth it.

Being one of the loyal bose fan for decades, Sony XM6 made me switch. Specifically, audio quality 9/10, comfort 10/10, battery 10/10, ease of use 9/10, one of the best thing i like about the XM6 is that you can wear it for an extended workout, although it will get slightly sweaty but its really comfortable and secured.

They’re good, very lightweight and comfortable for long time use. I am impressed with the sound quality. They hold charge very well, I am a college student and they last all day

I use these headphones 4+ hours a day and the battery life is near eternal. I can go almost an entire week without charging it. Even when I do need to charge it, charging it for 20 minutes make it last a couple of days alone. The noise cancellation on these headphones are top of the line and they’re comfortable to wear. They don’t hurt my head. Only downside is if you’re upside down they are prone to slipping off.

The XM6 headphones are so far the best headphones I ever used. I use these headphones for everything that includes work, mowing grass, working out and just relaxing. The comfort is very good due to the wide head band that Dosnt let my head feel squeeze. On the battery side, these headphones usually gives me a couple days of battery life until I have to recharge 5/5 product

Great sound and super comfy! I’ve been using these headphones for a while now and I’m honestly impressed. The sound quality is amazing — super clear with deep bass and crisp highs. I’ve been using the Sony MX6, and I’m really impressed. The headphones are incredibly comfortable, even during long listening sessions, thanks to the lightweight design and soft ear cushions. I upgraded from the W4 to this model. I wouldn’t say that it’s vastly different but the changes they did make are appreciated. Love the noise cancelling. The new case and folding option. Battery life is fantastic. Build feels solid. I use this everyday for work and the gym. Connections between my iPhone pro max and Dell work laptop are seamless. The upgraded sound connect is good if you are into customization and tinkering with your electronics. The blue color does smudge up with fingerprints. That would be my only issue.

This is an emotional review for me but my hope is that my testimony may help another who needs to decided if the Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphones would work best for you. (Also, please check with your doctor before using these headphones as a medical device) I have the brain condition (IIH) and one of my horrific side effect is hyperacusis. We moved into an apartment just to later find out it had paper thin walls and disruptive neighbors who love slamming their doors, talking extremely loud and blasting their tv on high volume into ungodly hours of the night. I would get horrible migraines and everytime the neighbors would slam their doors I would get startled and full of anxiety. I even tried to talk to the neighbors and property manager politely about the noise pollution but they blew me off ofcoarse. This all made me feel unsafe, sad and helpless if you can imagine. So one day in my deepest depression and tears from my eyes I said to my husband "baby, I need to block out this noise or I'm going to go insane". My wonderful husband did a Google search to find out what headphones had the best noise cancelation and long and behold the Sony WH-1000XM6 popped up. These headphones had restored my sanity, praise the Lord! The noise cancelation of these headphones alone was worth every penny. I even have a name for my headphones...My Magic Earmuffs. Everytime I put on my Magic Muffs they take all the loud noise away and restore my peace. I recommend the Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphones if you have a brain condition like myself or a condition which makes you sensitive to loud noises. As soon as you put them on you will feel safe and at peace within yourself. Thanks Sony and Best Buy for selling a life saving product! Great headphones, comfortable and easy to stow in the case. The noise cancellation is better than the XM5 and the audio quality is noticeably better with the Cinema mode. Plus the Bluetooth will connect to both my iPhone and my desk phone and pause one to ring another so my music from my phone is paused when my desk phone rings. Also unlike the XM5 these charge while in use.

I bought these headphones to use at my workplace, which is an open plan office that has a lot of activity throughout the day. These are great for taking out any steady background noises (fans, white noise, etc.) and does a pretty good job at quieting down voices. It doesn't completely erase people talking nearby, but it makes them significantly quieter. The fit is comfortable and the mic quality seems to be OK for calls.

I came from the Airpods Max and couldnt be happier. The AirPods Max never felt like the best-in-class in either ANC or sound quality generally. I was holding off on the XM5 until the XM6 and ended up trading in the AirPods Max. The build quality on these is wonderful and they are much lighter than the Max. Sound quality is another level and the ANC is amazing. They are also much more comfortable to wear than the Max. The travel case is also excellent. I haven’t played around with the accompanying app much but it looks like it has some cool features. Really happy with my purchase!

First time trying a WH-1000XM series headphone and these XM6’s are awesome! The ANC and Transparency modes are top level. With ANC the world around you disappears and with Transparency mode you can hear birds chirping and cars approaching while walking your dog. Sony really out did themselves with these 2 feature. Comfort level is also top notch, I can wear these for hours no problem. The battery life is excellent, up to 30 hours with ANC features turned on. And the sound quality is superb, you can even have a custom EQ with a 10-band slider to get the exact sound you want.

The Sony M6 headphones are clear as a bell very comfortable and light. I can hear things on recordings. I never got to hear it before. I have some hearing loss so it’s really great to have things so clear the battery loss extremely long time and the noise canceling up to 35 db is unsurpassed. Very happy with my purchase and my Customer Service audio specialist.

This is the first pair that I will 100% say that I will keep because of how light it is how long the battery life is and how great it sounds. The flexibility of it with the headband with the clamp is great. I work out. It’s a great workout headset. I can sling around all I want and they do not follow my head. I have 100% recommend.

Pros: Best-in-class noise cancellation, lightweight and comfortable for long wear, warm/customizable sound, foldable design, solid mic quality for calls. Cons: ~$500 price, average battery life, not waterproof, some find them a bit bulky/tight-clamping. For college: Great for blocking dorm/library noise and comfortable through long lecture days — worth it if you’ll wear them daily.

Phenomenal sound clarity; a clear step up even from the XM5s I currently own. ANC is basically unparalleled at this point. When on, entire world is basically on mute (especially while music is playing). Comfort level is great, even if the clamping is a bit stronger than the xm5. Owned a pair of airpods max for a few years, and let me just say as an iphone user, the xm6s blow them out of the water in so many categories that matter most (sound, comfort, portability, ANC). These are by far the best headphones I’ve ever worn and it’s not even close.
