Admittedly, I love this movie but only had the VHS version. This Blue Ray was a tad disappointing. No subtitles and skipped a little. It also didn't offer a full screen, which I personally prefer. I love the movie, but the Blue Ray wasn't well done.

LOVE THIS MOVIE AND WANTED TO REVISIT IT ON BLURAY

I wish that the studios would release the movies on disc that were the same as in the movie house. Not some scene deleted botch-up that THEY think is better than the original. That's what I thought I was buying, the original.

This is a great film featuring two excellent actors: Paul Newman and Robert Redford. This is a great western with comedic and action elements with a bit of a love story wrapped in.

So, this movie was made in 1969, and I realize that some of the scenes deliberately have a washed out or sepia (brown tone) effect to them. But overall, I feel the Blu-Ray 1080p remastering could be much more polished. There are some scenes I remember seeing on old "tube" TVs that did not look weird until I saw this blu-ray on a modern TV. Perhaps I'm wrong. Just my impression. I only paid $5.

The disk is a DVD quality of a poor copy of the film. About 15 Minutes into the move the picture froze. We got it going buy jumping forward skipping a bit the the movie. The music was great. the disk was cheap and we saw the original in a theater so we recognized the portions for the film and did enjoy what we did see and hear. I did toss it out as it is something that I would not watch again.
