Still not what I had hoped for...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Blu-ray looks and sounds great BUT the so-called "Theatrical Version" of the film is not. I saw 'C.H.U.D.' (in the theater) when it was originally released and then on cable (countless times), a few years later. The true theatrical version of the film has a smattering of humorous, dubbed dialogue, throughout the course of the movie. This dialogue can be found in both the Laserdisc and VHS release of the film. Unfortunately, when the movie was released on DVD (Director's Cut), the dialogue was removed. When I first heard that 'C.H.U.D.' was being released on Blu-ray (with BOTH theatrical and director's cuts included), I was thrilled...expecting this new release of the theatrical version, to contain the previously removed dialogue. Sadly, said dialogue did not find its way back into the original, theatrical cut... So disappointing.
