Caavo control center is a HDMI Switch that does a lot. It uses something called machine vision to control your devices and its pretty cool. Its 4K HDR10 4 HDMI ports. Works with Alexa. Integrates with your DVR and TV Guide, Universal search, Minimalist remote control. I am pretty pleased with this device actually and recommend it to anyone who wants one controller to control your entertainment center that's not a harmony remote. This company is pretty new and the sky is the limit what they can do with their vision. I stand behind their vision and what they are trying to do here. I can only see it getting better. Keep up the good work everyone @ Caavo. Excellent customer support also.

I was looking for a replacement to my failing Logitech Harmony remote and came across this. My other half would constantly get annoyed with our Harmony wouldn't change all the settings properly... after watching several videos online, I decided to take the leap and try this. I was pleasantly surprised. It functions perfectly for what we need. The remote took some getting used to, but it controls everything I need it to with my entertainment system. It recognized my TV, AVR, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch automatically... have an older Mac Mini used at an entertainment server, took a little bit of tweaking to get that to work properly, but in the end it worked. Overall our household is very happy with it.

Before I get into how awesome this device is, I did want to mention that I did have to chat with Caavo support get my search to work correctly. The person helping me was excellent and it took less than 10 minutes for me to understand what was happening. I have a Samsung LED 4K(HDR), Marantz Receiver, AppleTV, and the new Roku Stick. Outside of this, setup was really straightforward and the performance of the device has been great. The commands go through cleanly. The issue that I (and more so my wife) had with my Harmony was that it would sometimes misfire and then you'd have to go through the help loop. Voice search, especially when looking for Youtube content, is really cool. I did find out that it works much better on Roku than on AppleTV and have since made this the primary device for Youtube. This has made it way easier for the family to watch Youtube together on the TV instead of on the phone. Alexa works pretty well. I mostly use it to turn the System on and off...it takes you to exactly where you want to go. I.e. "Tell Caavo to watch ESPN" will turn everything on, switch inputs, and switch to ESPN. This is already a really cool and useful product with tons of future potential.

I bought the Caavo Control Center to replace the multiple remotes I had and to reduce clutter. It has worked like a charm and is better than I envisioned. It was extremely easy to setup and automatically detected my various devices, a tv, a chromecast, a roku, blue ray player and my cable box. The interface is extremely easy to use as well and both my kids and their grandma were able to seamlessly transition to it without a bunch of instructions from me. Thanks Caavo.

I have used lots of different universal remotes including the market leading Harmony Hub. They all function by blindly sending a series of remote commands and hoping for the best. This often results in things getting out of sync and having to manually intervene. In addition, traditional universal remotes attempt to replicate all device functions which results in a cluttered remote which is difficult to use. The Caavo Control Center takes a much different approach. By also including an HDMI switch, Caavo is able to see what is going on with the devices. This provides a lot of benefits over a traditional universal remote. Caavo also doesn't try to completely replace your original remotes. The included remote with the Caavo is designed to be your "daily driver" and relies on the original remote for deep menu settings. The Caavo also recognizes when you are using the original remote and switches inputs automatically. There's no easy way around it, when you have a media center with four or five devices that each have their own remote things become hectic and cluttered. Only the tech-savvy in the house can navigate through the Jungle of options, that is my Media center. This is where the Caavo came in and quite honestly saved the day. I currently have a PlayStation 4, Nintendo switch, Roku Streaming Stick plus, Chromcast, and Dish Network receiver DVR connected to my Samsung TV which is using a soundbar. At first the settings seemed overly simplistic, I just plugged in the devices and the Caavo immediately recognized them. I wish I can say that's where the story ended but it did not. The Caavo immediately recognized devices and the setup was pretty quick after setting up an account but I realize that I still could not control my Dish Box (older model). I began to email the support department. And even though the emailing method was painfully slow I was offered the option for a call back. That's all I needed to finish off the last few steps of my setup and now that everything is set up I can say that this device is a must-have for anyone with a cumbersome media center covered in a sea of Media devices. As of right now, I can definitely say that the voice search feature is fantastic. The voice search never struggled to understand what I'm asking for and the fact that I can search my Plex library and all of my devices with one remote at the same time is Amazing. You can simply pick up your remote when the devices are all turned off, say a search phrase, then watch the magic when only the devices needed to stream or play that device will turn on. My wife can now just pick up the remote, say a name of a YouTube channel, and have the TV turn on and do everything else without even having to look at the screen.. A must-have feature when you have kids =-) There are a few shortcomings of course. Like the lack of some media device (Mi Box S,etc.) and software support (YouTube TV), but with every firmware I'm seeing more devices and software is being supported. I have no doubt that within a few months everything I need will be supported. I also been told but Caavo support that YouTube TV and Mi Box Support is coming very soon. Lastly, there is also no bluetooth control support, but most device can be control with IP or IR. I normally wouldn't write such a detailed review but my experience with the support department has left me with the urge to share my story. It may not be for everyone, and may take some work to get everything working, but it worth it. BTW I am in no way being endorsed or paid by Caavo for this review, this is my personal experience.

I have been using this for two months and have been well out of the honeymoon period. Still I give it five stars and not had any issues with this thing, which is very uncommon for things controlled by Wifi and HDMI. Needed to add a couple more HDMI inputs to our TVs. Was shocked at the prices of the ones at Best Buy and didn't want to gamble on the no name ones on Amazon. Then I saw the Caavo, listed a bunch of features, blah blah blah. Then I saw that it also was a four way HDR 4k HDMI switch. Sold. Worked great as a switch but also brought together our home theater systems. Controls most components via WiFi and HDMI rather than IR. On sale it was actually priced lower than the cheapest HDMI switch at Best Buy. Also it comes with a remote that will actually control all of your devices, not one of those mini HDMI switch remotes that will just add to the collection of remotes we need to watch TV. The remote it comes with actually is easier to use and far less complex than the universal remotes that we have had in the past.

Ok – so between my satellite tv, fire tv + apple I have been so frustrated and complaining (often) about switching from port to port and launching the right content out of the right app for awhile now...well i was at a point where i just about couldn't take it anymore, and then I heard about caavo, and I was like yessss finally. no more painful hour long searches to find the shows i want to watch and where i want to watch them at. i just tell caavo, and and then boom...ur show is there, and the options of where to launch them is right there too...so, i just saved a bunch of time of going app to app trying to figure out if i can find the movie or show i want to watch for free. one feature i am just found is crowd surfing. i like seeing what other users recommend for different types of vibes. it’s fun. currently paying 2 bucks a month for the service and so far so good. enjoying tv and all my devices a lot more these days!

The Caavo does everything I bought it to do and more. I wanted an HDMI switch because I had too few inputs on my TV. The Caavo works great for this, but it does so much more. I really love how the remote automatically switches to work with whatever device you are using, and the tips for what each button does when you touch it are a genius idea. Voice search works great. I had a few questions after i set it up (which was simple). The response from their customer service reps was great. Answered all my questions thru email in an extremely timely manor. Great product!

A friend of mine suggested that I pick up the Caavo device for my entertainment setup. I am so happy I took his advice. It saves me time on finding remotes!! I have instant access my entertainment devices wether I am using my PS4, Switch, Alexa, Apple TV! It also works with my Alexa! Setup was easy and I can use the remote to search my streaming services with voice commands. Very happy with the purchase!

Yeah, this device is very cool. I’ve always had so many remotes laying around. It’s a pain and I seemed to be the one in charge of the remotes because no one else had a clue as to what remote goes to what. Caavo was easy to setup, doesn’t take up much space and worked right out of the box. Remote is small and super easy to use. LOVE IT! Can’t beat the price either…sheesh!

Let’s get to the point right away. This product needs to be in the 2018 Best Product of the Year grouping! When I initially read the specs and what it’s supposed to do, I was skeptical. A single master remote control that basically takes 4 discrete inputs into an HDMI switch and nearly auto configures them to work across 1 nifty little remote, with voice control. WELL, IT DOES IT AND WELL. I’ve had RTI remotes which are professional, but non-user programmable and $$. I’ve had Logitech remotes, which solve the user programming issue. But this is the coolest device I’ve ever purchased. I love the simplicity and the voice control. My configuration is DirecTV, Samsung TV, Apple TV, and a Bose Cinemate 130 sound-bar. All work perfectly after a bit of help from Caavo tech support. These guys were amazing. I can’t say enough about their ability to diagnose and solve a unique problem with my sound-bar, even on Xmas eve. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these really cool tech products. First, I do recommend the Caavo -- I works well for most applications. The issue is if you have a Insignia Fire TV Edition (or other 'Fire TV Edition' or 'Roku TV Edition' TV brands). Caavo cannot (currently) control those other than power and volume. This means you can't use the Caavo controller to change the TV to using devices connected via Caavo. To do that you have to use the fire tv controller. It's easy enough to do ... but, does mean having two controllers around. I did email Caavo support and managing 'Fire TV Enabled' TVs is on the list to look at sometime in the future ... but no date or priority on when that will be done.

Day 7 review. Setup was easy, though little instructions. When this works, it is awesome. I have Directv, apple tv and a receiver connected. It is great to have a voice-activated search that crawls all platforms. It is great, just like Tivo at this. Here is the bad news, it is so GLITCHY. So...glitchy! I would say that the Caavo works around 25% of the time. The glitches range from not being able to control Directv, even though Caavo shows that the buttons are working. This requires a restart and repairing the remote. Think 5-minute hassle that you must do multiple times a day. Then, when you turn on the "system"" inevitably, this does not turn on all devices, requiring an annoying game of shielding devices and sharpshooting the missing device to turn on while not turning off the others. This happens absolutely 95% of the time without fail...or should I say without success. Having the original remotes for all devices is necessary. If you want to be frustrated, and constantly teased by its potential and don't mind horrible customer service, this device is perfect for you. What a shame.

I had to buy this to find out, since I could not find the answer to this anywhere on line. So here it is. When the Caavo is detecting devices and can't identify your HTPC scroll to the bottom and choose "other" not "PC/Mac". This way you can name the HTPC anything you wish. Be sure you have an IR adapter for your PC (I use Flirc) and that the IR device that came with the Caavo is in use and positioned line of sight to the Flirc. You will be able to set up the essential buttons on the Caavo remote and they will work with the HTPC! Better yet (for me) you can also just press the enter button on your HTPC remote (mine is Inteset) and the Caavo will switch to the HTPC. This is perfect for me since my Inteset remote is programmed to the Flirc to do anything I wish on the HTPC, including opening and closing apps, and waking the computer from sleep mode. The Caavo passes with flying colors, so I won't have to return it like I expected to!

I was looking for a way to consolidate devices into one remote and was ready to get another Harmony remote. Luckily Best Buy had the Caavo on a daily deal sale so I went for it. I'm so happy I did. This is like a Harmony on steroids. Set up was so easy, and even kind of fun, as it Caavo walks you through the process. In less than 20 minutes I had three devices and a sound bar all working together perfectly. The Voice Command works surprisingly well. To test it I asked Caavo to play "Parks and Recreation Season 4 Episode 6" and it automatically switched to Netflix and that episode started playing. It was kind of magical. I did have some issues with a DirecTV box handshaking delays but the Caavo customer service has been very attentive and helpful. I know I have only scratched the surface of the capabilities, with curated lists, etc. but just using it as a "Super Duper Remote" is awesome and more than worth it.

I have two of these now. I don't want or need the subscription services. The best feature of this device is pressing the button on the control center and having the remote control beep so you can find it. Yep, I bought this for simple HDMI switching of devices on a dumb tv and a remote control I can teach the kids to find everytime. Because they always lose it...in the first place.
