Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this machine does make a great cup of espresso and americano it is pretty unreliable in terms of maintenance. My machine gets stuck in descale regularly even though I go through the process multiple times and clean according to ge directions. It also forces me to add water and empty waste when it is not necessary. It’s kind of annoying to see the machine shut down with “empty waste” when I’ve literally made 1 or 2 cups. Spending $600 on this machine I would have expected better quality. I have all of the matching major appliances and LOVE them (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove). They are so visually appealing in the matte white and brushed bronze hardware. I receive compliments on my kitchen often! Would love it if this espresso machine worked better!

Too Expensive for what it Does

The milk steamer does this thing where it’ll steam for 3 seconds then I’d have to press it again. That’s after pressing twice before to work. Aesthetically it’s very pleasing. I’m not sure it’s super practical. I think the price is very steep given its capabilities.

I don’t believe it is very well made compared to other brands. I hate that things are so Wi-Fi dependent. It’s coffee for crying out loud! But this is Wi-Fi / app dependent.

Doesn't Make Hot Coffee

It took four emails with Customer Service to discover this. For the money, the temperature should be adjustable.

Posted .Hello there - We are so sorry that your espresso machine is not making hot coffee. This would be very discouraging and we understand your disappointment. One simple fix for this issue could be preheating your cup: Run hot water into the cup and swirl it lightly around to heat up the cup before brewing espresso. Or, heat up the coffee brewer by running hot water through it beforehand. Steamer issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this machine replaced already for the steamer failing to foam properly, and the same problem is back again after just 2 months. I agree with the other great reviews when the machine works but after 2 months the steams magically stops producing a good foam for the latte. I've tried everything including descaling, running hot water through the steamer, etc, but nothing seems to return the steam wand to its original form. Make sure you purchase a warrantee with this thing if you choose to buy

DOA, don't fall for the pretty looks.

No means of troubleshooting provided by GE Cafe worked. Just going to stick to an espresso maker made by a company that specializes in them.
