not worth the money. very overpriced.Bought because it matched my appliances. The toaster is crap. It doesnt toast evenly, settings are not accurate. I threw it away after a couple of months with everyone in my family complaining about it. The only positive is it looks nice.

Not made well. After about a month of usage the lever would not stay down and I had to return it.

BestBuy doesn't let you give half stars. This is a 3.5 but I am rounding up to 4 just to be fair, as 3 is too low. I also have the Stainless Steel version, not the white version. That won't change the way it toasts! ha! but I do have some observations on the stainless steel finish. First off, the Cafe toaster is large. It sits about 8" tall, which is a good 1/2" higher than my existing toaster. It looks great and the stainless steel finish is not a fingerprint magnet. The rose gold accents look nice, it's definitely a more feminine feeling toaster counterbalanced by the sheer size of the unit. One of the stand out design elements for me was the pop out crumb true. It's a front tray (if controls are on the right) which actually makes it easier to clean and more likely you will clean it regularly. But toasters are for cooking. So how does it stack up? The Cafe Toaster cooks extremely well. There are clamps that hold your toast evenly in the toaster rack so you get perfect all-round toasting. I tested with white bread and a bagel. No issue with either. There is a custom setting for bagels - which is nice. My only issue with the Cafe toaster is that the toast heat setting dial has a white ambient light ring around it, probably from LEDs. The darker your toast, the more white the light ring. When I first plugged it in I thought I had somehow turned on the heat function. It's probably just me but I associate the white light with on and in use. I keep doing double-takes in the kitchen because the light is on and I think someone has left the toaster on. It really is a great toaster. If you have the room on your counter I would get it again - because it looks classy and in stainless steel with the pink almost copper-colored accents, it has a bit of a retro-cool factor. So gives the kitchen some class.

This toaster looks great on my counter, stylish and attractive. By going to the Café website, I see it matches their other products, everything from coffee makers to refrigerators and ovens. As far as performance, I don’t see how you can ask more from a toaster. It has all the features you’d expect, a button for “bagels”, “reheat” and “frozen” (if you’ve forgotten to take the bread out of the freezer and must have your toast NOW.) A feature I’ve never seen in a toaster before is “Express Finish.” This toasts your bread much faster than any other toaster I’ve seen. In normal mode, it made the toast the way I like in a little over two minutes. In the “Express” mode, it took only about 55 seconds! Very cool. I also like the very easy to remove crumb tray. It slides right out, just dump the crumbs in the trash and slide it back in. If you have a toaster without this feature, it’s very easy to neglect cleaning it and soon you can have a pile of crumbs at the bottom. Overall, I liked the Café toaster very much. The only negative is its cost. You can get a cheaper toaster at Best Buy for under 40 dollars. It’s up to you whether you’d want to spend this much for a toaster. If you do, you’ll have an attractive appliance on your kitchen counter which works very well.

Have you ever owned a toaster where you feel its worth taking a picture and sending it to people? Have they then replied saying "OMG I love that toaster!" Yea, me either. Until now. This toaster is so well built, and looks amazing. The rose gold accents really pop, and make it seem even more like a high end designer piece than a toaster. I actually mean that. Use: This toaster has a few options, for bagels, frozen food and how, well, toasted you want to toast things. There is a nice ring light around the settings which is a nice visual indicator for how dark the toast will be. The unit works quickly, and even has an extra heat setting to quickly add some 'scortch' to something as it uses extra heating elements. The crumb tray has a nice spring loaded pop out, and it is also the same rose gold color. Very nice touch. The only thing I dislike about the toaster is the cord wrap on the bottom isn't designed very well, and isn't deep enough to actually hold the cord, so I don't use it at all. Other than this, the toaster is awesome.

I can't say enough great things about this toaster. It's super easy to use. It has a very easy and accessible crumb plate. It does Pop-tarts, Toast, and Waffles great. The toaster itself looks very nice and classy.

We replaced a 20 year-old high-end toaster with this new GE Cafe Toaster. We are not disappointed. This is a quality appliance. The design is very sleek and modern which fits in very well with our mid-modern home. I'm most impressed by the insulation on the sides of the toaster. Most toasters run pretty hot on the sides as you are toasting something. Although it is warm, it isn't hot to the touch. The controls are pretty basic like most new toasters, but the quality of the touch of the controls is a cut above. The buttons for the "frozen" or "bagel" settings have a great touch and the "cancel" button to pop up your toast is easy. There is no abrupt pop-up noise when you touch the cancel button. The lever for pushing down your bread is also very smooth and easy. We also like the LED on/off indicator in the form of a light ring around the cancel button. Very nice. This toaster comes in several contemporary colors. If you're looking for a quality toaster, this is a great choice.

The Café - Specialty 2-Slice Toaster is a great toaster. It’s is very stylish with its stainless steel finish and rose gold accents. It’s has 4 settings which include bagel, frozen, reheat and express. It also has a dial to adjust the level of darkness you want on your toast with a led ring that indicates how much time is left. It also has a removable crumb tray as you’d expect. I’ve tried toasting bagels as my first attempt at using this toaster and they came out perfect just they way I like them. Next was plain white bread and that too came out perfect. I have also toasted frozen waffles which came out great too. I don’t know how you can mess up using this toaster but I recommend getting it.

This is a great toaster to get if you are looking to ad a little style to the kitchen. Honestly, it's looks are it's biggest selling point. In terms of use, it works great. Toasts evenly, seems to toast faster than my old one (could just be me), easy to clean removable crumb tray and all the settings you could ask for (bagel, frozen, express finish & reheat). It feels well built and like it will last for years. Only so much you can say about a toaster so I will just say that it works great & looks great. If both of those things are a requirement for you, this is your toaster :-)

Not your ordinary toaster, the Café Specialty 2 slice Toaster in Matte White/Copper is as stunning as it is useful. Solidly built, the Café 2 slice toaster has four functions to really getting you going on breakfast toast, afternoon bagels and pastries. The front part of the Café Specialty toaster has four edit settings with a colored circular Cancel button in the middle. Here the 4 functions that makes this Café Specialty toaster a very special toaster! An Express Finishing settings can toast as dark or light as you make it. I prefer just a little bit of burnt toast on the edges. No problem with this function. The Frozen function, like its name, thaws out toast, frozen waffles, etc. The food comes out warm, while looking and tasting great. The 2 slots are extra wide to accommodate bagels with no problem. I really liked this feature. It is hard to find a wide mouth 2 slot toaster to accommodate bagels! Reheating is simple. It is used when you need pastry or bread that just needs to be a little warmed up again. Reheat will take care of that for you. I really like a warm pastry, so this setting is going to see a lot of work from me. The back part of the Café Specialty 2 Slice Toaster has vents that allow the air to flow freely and unobstructed that keeps the toaster cool even when while it is in use. Once of the nicest features of this Café Specialty Toaster is the crumb tray. Every toaster I have ever used has always made a mess with crumbs on the toaster and counter top. The Café Specialty Toaster has a tray in the bottom of the unit that catches the crumbs. When the crumb tray is pulled out, it provides a no mess cleanup. Just dump the tray debris from toasting in the trash and put the crumb tray back in its place in the Café Specialty tray position. Is the cord annoying you? Slide it underneath the Café Specialty toaster to keep it out of view and make your counter space look less cluttered. This is a great way to make your countertops look cleaner when it is sitting near other small appliances. Made for an ultra modern look to spruce up any kitchen, the 4 options are incredibly easy to use and work well to provide the best toasted bread, bagel and/or frozen product for anyone to enjoy.

First off I have the GE Cafe appliance suite in my house so it matches greatly. The brushed stainless matches all the handles and knobs on my appliances and the rose gold colored accents match the bancs each appliance has on one of the handles. The light around the power setting knob gets brighter as you rotate it and is pretty slick. The crumb tray that pops out is pretty handy and convenient. The grippy feet keep it planted wherever you put it. The bagel setting is a plus since those are my favorite. Now what kills this toaster is the uneven heating, the bread doesn't toast evenly. I've tried everything and it just won't toast evenly. As sharp as it looks and feels it just doesn't do what it should do and toast. Their CAFE series large appliances are amazing but this doesn't compare.

I just received it today and it is nice looking and small. But, even with that quick button, i still had to toast it twice to get it to the darkness i need. I hope that its just me and i do not know how to use it yet. I love the cancel button a lot.

My day hasn't really started until I 've had my morning bagel.  For the last week, I've been making my bagels in the new GE, stainless steel, Café' series two slice toaster. Overall, this toaster has done a great job of doing what it was built for. It is easy to use, easy to clean, heats up quickly, and toasts evenly. 

One of the best toasters I have purchased in a long time. This was a great purchase on my behalf and also on Best Buy having the best products, hands down amazing! Toaster!

I have really appreciated having the Cafe - Specialty 2-Slice Toaster. It has functioned perfectly with every item I have toasted, and it looks very stylish. This toaster comes with 2 wide slots which is very nice for thick items, like bagels or frozen waffles. The controls are all on one end, with a slideout crumb tray that can be utilized from the side. The amount of toasting is controlled by a knob that provides 8 settings, and I found that bread of average thickness can be toasted on 3 while a thicker slice will likely need to set on 4. There are push buttons for power, bagels, frozen items that need thawed, and for Express Finish which will get an item toasted very quickly. The button for Cancel is located on the toasting setting knob. I can confirm that bagels, frozen waffles, thin bread, and thick break all toast perfectly with this toaster. The toasting setting really work too, as I can see a difference with the toasting level between each number. The crumb tray releases with the push of a button and is easy to slide back in. The toaster looks very classy with a matte silver finish and copper accents. It is a modern look, but would fit well into any kitchen style. Overall, this is a great toaster for any item you would like to toast, and a great toaster for any kitchen style.

This is a fancy toaster that looks awesome on my countertop! In all honesty, the toast doesn't take much different than my old toaster but I do love that it can fit a bagel and has a setting to use on frozen products. The unique stylish look is what sold me on it and it makes me happy when I see it setting out for all to see.

Used the toaster for about a week. It toasts bread perfectly. Taste perfect and is consistent every time. Lots of diversity and found toasting bread, pop tarts and bagels a blast. I would highly recommend this very nice top of the line toaster. Looks great and works extremely well.

This is the first toaster that I ever said WOW! There is no other toaster that is built with this much quality and design. If your looking for a toaster that is high quality and looks great! Look no further! You honestly will want to leave this toaster out on your counter rather than hiding it away because it looks cheap or outdated. The middle (main) dial is pretty cool with its light settings. The crumb tray is on the side rather than being in the front or rear like a typical toaster. The crumb tray is also chrome and has a click in and out mechanism. The heating elements pack a punch but evenly and perfectly toast your bread item. Quick mode will put on additional heating strips to toaster your item faster! It literally has more heating watts than many larger toaster ovens! Pretty cool! I will never be able to use another! While simple you are getting good even heat and well built and design quality.
