Received the set of cookware and checked out the contents: 5 pans, 1 pot and 4 lids. Pulling them out of the box, you automatically feel the weight. They are sturdy. You also see they are a non-stick set…a bonus. Continue to read the instructions and more boxes are being checked off: dishwasher safe and oven safe up to 450 degrees.
Cooking with this set is very easy and heats up quickly. Another plus is the cookware is stackable and saves a lot of space.
Now the nitpicks:
The lids are flat. Also, the lids will retain water while cooking because there are no vents for steam release.
Bottom line: You get what you pay for with this cookware set.

This cookware is great. It truly is nonstick and cleaning is very easy. The pieces stack easily to save space. I do wish it were a little lighter to handle but other than that it's perfect. I'll use this set for a very long time.

We have limited cabinet space, so have gotten by with a limited number of quality pots and pans. It was more important that we had quality versus quantity.
With this particular set; however, we now have both the quantity and the quality within a limited amount of space.
The first impression came when lifting the box set. It was very heavy.
Each pot and pan is very substantial, providing an even cook with good heat transfer. The nonstick coating is great.
The lids are not the usual dome shape. They are flat - which is part of the 'nesting' design that allow pots and pans to sit inside of one another with lids stacked on top of each other.
Wondering now how we went without a complete quality set like this for so long.

I just received my Calphalon 10-Piece space-saving cookware. The shipment consisted of the following pans and lids:
8” diameter stack:
8” Fry Pan
2.5 qt Sauce Pan with Cover
3.5qt Sauce Pan with Cover
10” diameter stack:
10” Fry Pan
3qt Saute Pan with Cover
6qt Stock Pot with Cover
Both pans and their lids have a very solid construction feel to them, and you know it just as soon as you lift one.
Previously owned pans always had a disclaimer and a threat of voiding warranties if you tried to stack the pans on top of each other. We were basically forced to do this anyway due to a lack of storage space in our kitchen. The problem with doing this kind of stacking (placing a pan inside a larger pan) is that it’s the best way to cause damage to the insides and outsides of both pans.
The Calphalon pans and lid are different. The handles on both pans and lids are designed to interlock with each other. Note above where I listed the 8” and 10" stacks. Each of the pots and lids in the 8-inch stack can be placed one by one on top of each other creating one tall stack. The same applies to the pots and lids in the 10-inch stack.
Each lid is comprised of a metal handle and see-through glass. This alone is an improvement over our older pans lids which were all metal. Now we can keep an eye on what we’re cooking without having to repeatedly take the lid off.
Each Calphalon pan we cooked with came up to proper temperature very quickly, and the food cooked evenly even if when the pan was slightly askew on the burner. These pans obviously conduct heat quite well.
According to Calphalon: “The durable, hard anodized construction allows for even heating with no hot spots and is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The 3-layer nonstick interior is durable enough to withstand metal spatulas, spoons, and whisks”.
That’s outstanding considering how many non-stick pans I’ve damaged over the years by using the wrong utensils.
Cleanup was very easy. I used some dawn soap, a soft sponge and hot water, and that was it. The non-stick coating helped immensely during cleanup. I haven’t tried searing any meats yet, but I should happen soon and I’m sure will require greater effort to clean. I learned this years ago, but you should never submerge a hot pan in cold water, as doing so can irreversibly warp the pan. Instead, let the pan cool down entirely before washing.
We really like this 10-piece Calphalon cookware and feel that it deserves a solid rating of 5 out of 5.

I recently replace all my non-stick that I have which were in bad shape and the non-stick coating was coming off. I got this one and could not be happier. The unique shape lets you stack same size. The 8 inch stacks with 8 inch including the lids and the 10 inch stacks on 10 inch. I could reduce much of the clutter by going with this set. I think all manufacturers should use this novel idea!!
Also when you stack, the handles kind of lock with each other, this way they do not move.
I have not used any metal spatula on this set and although it is advertise that it can withstand any metal spatulas, I won’t use it non-stick. I think it will just destroy it at some point.
If you want to make sure your non-stick cookware last longs, just use plastic or wooden ones.
Hey btw, they have a lifetime warranty, This is a good buy!!

From the moment we opened the box, we were impressed by this cookware set. The metal it is constructed from is very thick, so the cooking is even. The heat can be turned up slightly from a normal pan and the surface cooks the same way all the way across. The nonstick surface is very hard and has worked well with both plastic and wooden utensils. They say you can use metal, but we are not risking it if we don't have to.
We have cooked from stove top to oven several times and have not had a problem. It is nice to be able to put it right in the oven without worrying about the handles melting! We don't use the stacking ability since I fabricated a hanging rack years ago to keep our cookware organized, but it will surely come in handy when transporting or stacking between cooking and serving.
I have seen pictures of people having problems with the coating getting scratched, but it always looks like their pots have been banging together. We'll see how long it lasts without hitting together. At least it isn't a finish that can come off that is poisonous.

These are some very heavy pots and pans, which can go either way. They feel very substantial and quality. Despite the size and weight, they do pack down into a very small piece of real estate which was surprising. When space is limited, this is definitely a good set to meet your needs. The pots and pans do heat up super quickly and overall worked well. Super easy to clean, although the lids do retain water so it's hard to get them to dry. Overall, I like the set. I wasn't extremely impressed with them considering the price point and there weren't a ton of features about them that stood out but they were good.

Easy Storage Nice cooking Heavy

The Pros - really nice heat distribution for a nice cook. Non stick which is excellent. I also think the 10 pieces are perfect set for every day cooking. Storage is great, stackable and handles for lids are on the side not taking up room when stacked.
Con- my only complaint is they are very heavy, heavier than any dish I have ever used. This isn't a deal breaker as you dont hold the skillets or pans while cooking but is noticeable when washing.
All in all a great set!

It is probably one of the sturdies, strongest (downsize a bit heavy), resistant and of the best quality kitchen sets, I have ever had in my life. With 10 pc you have all sizes to deal with the family needs: quick egg breakfast to a full meal. Great characteristics of this set for me are clear in the outside of the box: able to deal with the use metal utensils on them, resistant to the dishwasher but the two major assets become the big surprise:
the way in which you can stack some pots ones over others to finally reduce the storage space they need in the closet. The full 10 pc are now in the same space that use to be occupied previously by multi origins pans casseroles and skillets. Well organized means also, faster and better access to the right need each time.
During the two weeks that I have used them they remain anti-adherent, including in some of the most sticky family recipes.
Finally, my recognition to the glass lids that complement the pans. Their design allows to see the cooking without the need to lift the lid.
An investment that hope stays for long term.

This is one of the best sets of cookware I have ever had. The pans are significantly heavier than anything else I own which I thought would be an issue for heating, but they heat up very quickly and that heat is very even across the entire pan ( I have a gas stove for reference). I like the stacking ability so that I don't have to worry about taking up a bunch of space in my tiny apartment kitchen but one small complaint would be it seems that the parts that are supposed to line up for staking are a little off on the lids. Otherwise the cookware has been great.
Another point would be that this is one of the easiest to clean sets of cookware I have ever had. Does not matter what I make all I need is a very light wipe with a sponge and everything comes right off. The only part that can be a little bit of a pain is around the rivets that hold on the handles. Otherwise super easy to clean.
Overall a very nice set of cookware.

I have long had a mishmash of pots and pans acquired as I needed something, but the consistent factor with these was that they ultimately stopped being effective with chipping non-stick or peeling paint.
With the acquisition of my first full cookware set here by Calphalon is a revelation!
The metal handles did not get hot in use which was surprising to me - I would have thought they would conduct heat. The pans seemed to heat up faster than the other pans that I had. The non-stick surface seemed even better than I could have imagined - things literally slide off these pans.
The really nice feature about this cookware is that it is stackable - something that is important to me having a small kitchen with not much storage space. I'm not sure if this is a novel feature, but it is well executed here with 8 and 10 inch pans that are the right size for the kitchen that I have.
I would highly recommend these!

Beautiful Meals - Less Space

I could hardly wait to get the box open. I have been a Calphalon fan for years and the thought of being able to stack the set to save space was a great idea. Most importantly this, like all my other pieces, cooks very evenly and reacts quickly to changes in heat. Also being able to put them in the dishwasher is a plus, though the non stick surface is super easy to clean I am not sure that I would use valuable dishwasher space every time. But it is nice to have the option. Not all Calphalon cookware allows for this or the use of metal utensils. In the time I had the set I have used both soft and metal utensils with no visible effect. I would highly recommend this set even if you have plenty of space because there is always more you can put in your storage areas to cook with. Enjoy and good eating.

Less space, more durability

The main advertised thing about this set is the 30% less space. Well, it is not bad at all. Actually, it takes less space than any other set but I also like the quality of the product. The non-stick is not like a coat that is painted on the metal but it feels like part of it. It says it is safe to use metal utensils with it but I still would not do it... It is for sure dishwasher safe! Some other brands claim that but then it comes bad after wash. This ones come out the same as new.
The cover is weird but then I figured it is not bad at all. There is no condensation leaking on the edges and the handle is always cooler as it extends long from the heat reactor :).
I'd recommend it. Very nice gift (sometimes) and very efficient using.

This cookware set is awesome. It is very well crafted and extremely durable. Plus, it is made in Ohio! Cooking on it is great, and clean up is easy. I have been cooking on them all week and couldn't be more satisfied. It is also listed as metal utensil safe and works pretty well against the ceramic coating. I love the long handles on the pans and also the lids having long handles as well. The quality of the lids and fitment of the lids on the pans is amazing as well and I love the design of them.
Everything stacks easy in two separate stacks, One for the 8" pans and one for the 10" pans. I was able to much better organize my cupboard space!
I couldn't recommend this cookware enough! I love cooking on them!

I have been in need of upgrading my pans for awhile but kept putting it off, so I was very excited to upgrade to these! First thing I cooked in them was bacon and eggs for breakfast...In my old pan, the bacon would always stick initially stick, even though its bacon and it shouldn't! I didn't have that issue at all with these pans. The bacon and eggs slid around the pan perfectly... no more breaking eggs while trying to flip them over! What I really love about this set is the way they stack and you store them. That's the best part! My previous set is less pieces, but takes up over double the space! I cant believe it. This set is so much better! Highly recommended.

Excellent Cookware

Let me open with a little history... The wife and I have been together for 27 years, married for 20. Having young and growing careers and even younger but faster growing kids, we have classically been somewhere between thrifty and frugal in living within our means.
That said, our M.O. has generally been to buy decent but entry level cookware, understanding that it probably will not last as long as other high-end hardware, but spending $90 to $100 every 5 to 8 years made financial sense for where we were and what was important at that time in our lives.
Having reached a point in our lives and given the opportunity to "step-up" to a higher-end set, I can say with absolute certainty, this is an excellent choice.
The 35 pound box arrived in great shape. It was with a couple quick seconds and the box was open to a sturdily packed set that while sturdy and protective but didnt "ooze" in seemingly unnecessary packing Styrofoam or overabundance of cardboard..
Unpacking was great. Everything removed with ease and the feel of the cookware was noticeably more "substantial" than our previously mentioned mid-level cookware. All of the pieces felt high quality, construction was high quality and the stacking feature was positive and strong.
My wife is a fantastic cook. She was eager to put these through their paces and I can assure you, she (we) were NOT disappointed, They cook evenly, clean up easy and are remarkably versatile. From the stove-top, to the oven (up to 450 degrees), to the dishwasher to the easy stack of the space-saving cupboard.
We looked for an area of improvement and honestly, we really could find none. I suppose for even more space saving, they could have the European style universal removable / multi- use handle, but there is something to admit the substantial feel of the permanently attached stainless steel handles balanced against the tripple layered anodized aluminum offer a satisfying tactile pride of ownership.
In all, I can easily recommend to a friend and would be happy to have a second set for our RV. They are just that good.

We like it. Packaging was so nice and very organized by sub folding levels inside of box. This set is very stylish and glass made lids are so amazing. My wife actually got confused with them and had mistaken one lid for “pan” when we opened box, but shortly realized that those are lids “not out of space glass made pans”. This set takes cooking to new level and cleaning is pleasant as never before. Less food sticking to your cooking dishes means more food on your actual plate in front of you. Real space saver then it comes to storing and organizing.

I highly recommend the CALPHALON PREMIER SPACE SAVING COOKWARE set. Worth every penny and more. Each piece is very heavy duty and comes with a matching lid. The handles on both the pots/pans and the handles on the lids stay cool while stovetop cooking. I made a delicious pot roast, seared it in the 5 quart Dutch oven then added the sauce, placed on the lid and finished it in the oven. This is restaurant level cookware that cleans up super quick and easy. The space saving feature is a bonus and comes in very handy. Overall 10 out of 10.

So this set is great. I have a small kitchen and being able to stack the pots, pans and lids in two stacks works. I have a set of Calphalon that I bought back in 09. I know because that's when Gottschalks went out of business. It was a few months old when they closed my local store. I've loved using these every since. I don't have to worry about the finish flaking off. It is what it is and I can either hand wash them or run them through the dishwasher. I've never had an issue either way. The box states they are dishwasher safe. You can also use them on gas, electric or glass burners and in an oven up to 450 degrees. The other thing I like about the pots/pans is that they get hot quickly and retain the heat. I'm able to heat up food quickly, which works for me.
As for this set. I like the glass lids with the long handles. The pot lid with the two stubby handles will most likely need mittens, but hey, no biggie. I have the old glass lid with the handle in the middle and you have to use something to pick it up as it get toasty. The six pan/pot assortment was a good choice. A small simmering pot and fry pan for small individual meals and a large skillet, pot and my favorite 3qt saute pan. The box states that it's safe with metal utensils, but I prefer plastic or wood. Maybe that's why my old set hasn't had any finish issues or maybe they're just that good.
I'd recommend these to anyone. I've loved them for the last decade and I don't see that changing in the near future.
