Not as sharp as other reviews lead my to believe

It's a solid, heavy chefs knife of a good size, and it looks pretty cool honestly. Bought it on sale hoping to get an awesome knife for a steal. Unfortunately I don't think it really has ever lived up to my expectations. I have one other chefs knife, and it may not look quite as "cool," the handle is more comfortable and the blade is still sharper after a bunch of use than this was right out of the box. We still use this knife on a regular basis, but I wish it was sharper. It IS however sharp enough to do lots of damage should you slip with it....I admit the trip to urgent care and finger surgery a few days later may have soured me on this knife, even if it was my fault for holding it wrong.

Great Knife

Great knife!

The handle is a bit heavy and a little awkward to use, took about a week to get used to, but now this is the only knife I use at home. Just ordered a second Cangshan to add to the block. Very pleased with the quality for the price.
